You're an amazing teacher, thank you for helping me understand dressmaking! I find a lot of sewing videos too difficult to understand, but you are brilliant at showing and saying what you're doing and why.
Thank you for watching... yes you can make four panels using your body measurements and divide by 4 instead of 6...but remember if you make four panels your skirt will have a seam on its centre front and centre back not sure you would like that. If you watch my dress videos I cut them in four panels but I fold my fabric so that I don't get that centre seam... you can check the recent A-line skirt video ❤️

What about if my waist and hip measurements are about the same. What do I do
Hi there, I think you should try and make the panel with your measurements and see how it comes out.
@Nomonde Mketshane Thank you Nomonde for a quick reply
I will try. Want to try a that for a Church uniform skirt. I am in Zimbabwe. Good day

Hi my dear how much cloths to make the 4 panel skiet i think i spoil my skirt i split it to much
If you are making 4 panels you must cut out 4 panels
We just divid once then we use the ansar?
Hi there, you divide your waist circumference by six then you use the answer and then you divide your hip circumference by six then you use the answer
Very nice my dear and what I've been looking for, but you're not saying anything about the seam allowances
Hi there, I usually add 1 cm seam allowance as I cut the fabric
Nice 👍
Which one is better to use centimeters and inches?
I only use centimetres I have never used inches 🙈
Your videos are easy to understand. If my wait is big can I still make six pannels or I will need to make more pannels?
Hi there, yes if you use your own measurements you will still make a six panel skirt because you are designing your own panel.
🙂🙂
Can I make only 4 panels? And withe measurements be still the same? I'm quite aware the false might be smaller? Enkosi in advance 🤗

How to cut four panel please
You do the same thing but you will have to divide by 4...but if you do a four panel the centre front and center back will have a seam.
