      There is so many archeological sites in Peru you can find them in parks, under bridges, behind schools, and many other unexpected places. However for the most part they will all be largely destroyed. The ones seen in videos are just the ones made of stones so big, all the savages that have come after, couldn’t destroy them.

    Thank you, Brien! I was in Lima for a few days while waiting for my flight back to the U.S. after visiting Cusco and Machu Picchu. I visited a couple of large museums in Lima (one all of gold objects), but I had no idea there were these "huaca" you showed us here. The museums were nice, but I would have made sure to visit one of the pyramidal structures if I had known about them. Fortunately I have your videos to watch! Thanks again.

    Great video! Keep searching in Lima. There are many many Adobe brick mounds. Unfortunately most are not protected, are eroded and covered in trash. But my favorite huacas are at the zoo in San Miguel. Great place to visit. If you look on the pathways through the botanical gardens there, you will find pieces of pottery and occasionally obsidian flakes. The archeology is amazing, but not megalithic. Like the other coastal groups.

    The big question that is almost the answer to the bigger question is why did they build such a massive solid structure.
    Why a supposedly primitive culture in relation to ‘modern’ man spend the resources and incredible manpower to build this structure when they must have had much more urgent needs.

    • @steve-o6413
      @steve-o6413 3 роки тому
