I say, the best part of the SoCal coast is from Laguna Beach to La Jolla. This is the best stretch of coast to experience the essential laid back vibes that SoCal is all about. Sadly, the big city areas have went downhill but if you stay away from them, there are still so many little places where the spirit of the California dream continues to live on! Oceanside is my favorite! I recommend checking out San Clemente and San Onofre Beach next. Incredible video!
Re: Big cities. A variety of online vids about SF & what's occurring there (socially, economically, politically) is really disturbing. Similarly, a crash-and-steal daytime robbery occurred several wks ago not too many miles north of Dana Point at a luxury store in Newport Fashion Island. Same thing happened this past wk in Century City. Mike of YT's German in Venice has been very upfront about showing LA's dark side. I've been to Michael's hometown when the Bronx was still the Bronx, Brooklyn was still Brooklyn, Soho was still Soho (rundown or burned-out, etc) & so I don't take good trends or good things for granted.
Absolutely agree! I did NorCal in September and SoCal in October and there's soooo much more to California than the big cities. They have surely gone downhill, especially San Francisco which is so sad because it used to be a phenomenal city, but driving down the coast which is easily the most beautiful in the country, and visiting the national parks, there's just so much to see!
My friend , so gooooood to see your videos again of So Cal ! I was there for my first day of honey moon back in February and it was magical with the rain and the fog. Thanks again for the great videos , man
Loved another hidden gem video!! Please don't be embarrassed when asked about your channel. Tell them the name so they'll check it out. You my friend are a cut above the rest!!!🍎💚
Hi again! Another wonderful place in CA. I’ve never heard of it before, it looks lovely! I definitely will check this place on my next trip to out there. Thanks so much for the video 😊💎
Wonderful video as always. I've only been to Dana Point a few times but it seemed to be really pretty! Also excellent narration on your videos, you have a talent for it, sounds like something you'd expect to see in TV non-narrative coverage with how professional it sounds. Also spot on for pointing out the dead brush: it grows so quick in rain but then it dies just as quick and all I can think of when I see it is fire hazard l-ol
Crap! I live nearby. DP is my hangout place. Yes it’s a gem want to keep it that way. Now it’s NOT hidden anymore. Stop it! Just kidding love your videos.
I agree with keeping the talk short if any one ask it I'm vlogging or photo taking. Trying to enjoy my destination too. I'll have to check out DP for the Preserve Walk and Whale Watching season in winter, anything to get away from the crowds. Not bad as it on the edge of OC.
Michael, now that you've lived in LA & NYC visited SD & Chicago. What is more important The urbanity and vibrancy of a city or the weather like California offers? Would you agree to that there is something to be said for the inspiring feeling that a lively bustling urban landscape gives you, that even a great weather day in Los Angeles could compensate for?
Good question. I change my mind every day, lol. I think the novelty of the nice weather wears off for a while. California is so nice, but lately really missing the urban energy and community feel of a city like NY.
Hello Martello 🖐️, Myself Priya So basically you covered most of the american state in your vlogs, and Even there's chance to travel america, for the expensive one, I would choose Arizona and for the cheapest if Mississippi I'm not wrong in cheap usa place, I would choose that...Bye bye I'm from India 🇮🇳..💌.
4 weeks today till my next SoCal adventure, travelling over from the UK and binging your videos to get me excited. Cannot wait to be back!
Enjoy it!!

Nice video man, what a nice place it is there.
Great ride through DP. Glad you didn’t get trapped in the cave.
That's funny. I always pass it but never actually went until last week. It's BEAUTIFUL! I was shocked it's next to me and never went.
Worked as a diver here 21 years ago. Brought back pleasant memories.
And then, a day at.....Catalina Island!
Been there and need to go back!
