Hi Alphonso! I've always loved drawing with pen and I've become obsessed with your videos be because they're really helping me get to the next level! I'm a teacher (of 10, 11 and 12 year olds) and the other day they asked me how to draw trees and so I taught them some of the techniques you show in your tree videos. They were so thrilled and proud of themselves! All of a sudden, my fineliners are constantly being borrowed and I'm fighting to get them back!
Mr Dunn there are some real gems in these older videos of yours. This one is very helpful to me right now, thank you.

You're such a great teacher!
Before i watched your video, i was kinda self conscious about drawing trees and trunks.
Then I tried to watched your video, paused it for moment to moment and followed it on my paper to draw the trunk with Micron pen(they are great btw!) step by step.
And I was kinda surprised myself that I can really draw tree trunk and IT WAS BELIEVABLE enough to call as a tree trunk.

AWESOME!!! I normally do graphite and I've experimented in color, but I find graphite more satisfying....I think I will LOVE pen and ink. I find the repetitive stoke very calming. I shall be watching as many of your videos as I can. I'm self-taught and lack funds (don't we all?)

Alphonso!!!! You have saved me!!!! I have been trying to draw a tree for a project at our church for the youth! I was getting so frustrated because I could not draw the branches!!!! I was trying to find a tutorial where they used shapes!!!! Now I am so excited, I have already got it started!!! I don't claim to be an artist but when I am impressed to draw something I absolutely can! When I am not impressed I can't even draw a stick man! LOL.... I was showing my husband and I said look this is my cousin!!! I am a Dunn also! LOL.... So could you fling some more artistic ability my way!!!!! LOL....
