Mike, thanks for the shout-out brotha! Happy you are going back on the Deftones journey, you have a lot of nice surprises in store.
btw that bridge guitar part is actually Chino not Stef, whenever you hear a more proggy/shoegazey part or a quasi-solo in a Deftones song, 9/10 it's Chino. Glad you dug the song and this album in general is probably their most proggy/shoegazey effort and probably their most cohesive too, each songs bridges right into the next rather well and while there is some heavier moments ("Leathers", "Poltergeist"), it's mostly very chill and atmospheric. I enjoyed it on first listen but wasn't super in love with it but over time it has become one of my favorites and it might be their most mature effort since "White Pony". Other standouts on that record are "Romantic Dreams", "Leathers", "Entombed", and "Tempest" (which you should be reacting to soon).

Yes YES, Koi No Yokan on the channel. Great reaction, Mike. Probably the lightest Deftones album and my favorite. The lyrics are very abstract, there are no statements about what they are, it depends on what you can interpret. Let it flow. It might help to know that Koi No Yokan translated from Japanese means "premonition of love"

Nice on your decision to do more deftones. This song grew on me . wasnt fond of it when it came out. Some songs might need a couple listens to let it sink in.
