@constrainedanacronysm1370 that's because the writers can't keep themselves consistent even in a single season. To their story or the world building.
When the Aes Sedai that sacrificed herself and her warder was trying to figure out how the A'dam works, she talked Nyneave through touching the one power without her being angry or scared. In Nyneave's lack of skill she used too much and caught the attention of the domani but she still touched it. If they hadn't messed up with the world building she would have free use of Saidar now.

Olver could be Gaidal, time in the Dream is not the same as time in the real world. The only thing we know for sure is that he is always born before Birgitta, and I've always loved to think that maybe one of the MCs have a daughter that ends up being Birgitta in the future.
Birgitta had to leave the final battle early because she was being reborn. None of the MCs were that far along by the end of the story.
Doesn't Birgitta go spend time with Gaidal after the girls first meet her. It is after the second time they meet her that Birgitta can't find him. I could be misremembering this part though. I still prefer the idea that Oliver is Gaidal though. Why else stress how ugly he is?
Robert Jordan specifically said Olver is not Gaidal Cain. Brandon Sanderson also claimed at a book signing that Olver was not Gaidal Cain, but that Brando knew who was.
