Escort Mk6 1.6 Zetec Sportex 2” exhaust. (4” tip)

Fitting a new exhaust on my Escort!
This exhaust is around 2" diameter and consists of a center box delete pipe and a straight through (resonator style) back box with 4" tip! This gives the car a nice tone while not being abnoxiously loud.

I’ve been wanting to get an escort but am scared of the wiring and rust due to the age of them now are they easy to replace ? Or what is there to look out for buying an escort

Wiring isn't really an issue, the only problem electrically they are known for is the fuseboxes going bad but thats a simple replacement. Physical wiring wise theres not much to them its VERY simple compared to modern cars and any issues are easy to fix with how simple the electrical system is. No stupid modules controlling everything its just buttons and relays.
With regards to rust in all fariness youll get that on any car of this age, not just Escorts but of course being an old car they do suffer. All depends on your ability you can find solid ones easily enough, german built ones are the ones you want (WF0XXXXXXXXX) VIN numbers as they are built with better quality metals. Make sure the arches are okay front and back, bottom of wings, sills, chassis rails and floor to chassis welds are the common culprits.
If your after a cabby depending where you are, I've since sold this black one on but the current owner has it up for sale again now and he's done quite a lot of work to bring it up scratch and thats a solid car only ever needed one bit of welding on the outer sill. facebook.com/marketplace/item/762982141574979/
