    Blazers really helped celtics and screwed the heat. Waiting around. Not getting a big and size which is causing injuries, easy rebounds for opponents, and not trading herro when his value was high. Heat always trying to run it back. Small would work if we had Stephen Curry but we don't. Last 3 years run it back. When they make it, they get injured, playing small ball and letting other teams big score easy buckets in the paint. Later on they knock down 3s because they get in rhythm.

    Until Miami puts some size on this roster and trade away Tyler Herro and get a true point guard Miami will at best be a play in team. Personally wouldn’t pay Jimmy the max make him earn it this upcoming season.

  • @PointJovic
    @PointJovic 13 днів тому +2

    This team’s misplaced belief in Tyler Herro has led us to our current situation, which is trying to fix a broken roster under the constraints of being in cap hell. And make no mistake, both the broken roster part as well as the cap hell part rest mostly on Tyler’s shoulders.
    Maybe we should have listened to the noise (and the results) of how we took off and looked like a well oiled machine as soon as he got hurt. Even before Dame came into the picture, the talk was that we were better without Tyler. We could have traded him for a pick, kept Gabe and Max and had a starting point this year of the same well oiled machine, with everyone having chemistry and clearly defined roles. We still had picks, Lowry’s expiring, and Caleb being in super high demand to make a substantial upgrade to give the offense a little more juice. If it wasn’t enough to get Dame, you move on.
    Instead we trusted that Tyler wouldn’t be exactly what he was, gave up 2 guys that helped us get to the finals, and rolled out an absolute mess of a team, despite hitting big on our draft pick.
    Tyler was so not good enough that we had to use Kyle’s expiring contract and a pick to get a guy to do Tyler stuff better than Tyler is able to do, further breaking our roster, and making our roster more expensive. I like Terry, but his fit next to our guards is also bad. Now we have 3 expensive guards that no serious contender could ever pair together.
    I’m not blaming Tyler either. We were so bad this year that there were plenty of times where I was just like “uggh, just give the ball to Tyler, at least he will fuckin shoot it.” I blame the front office, which is truly awful at acquiring talent.
    I want to keep Jimmy, he’s my favorite player and the reason I’m a Heat fan to begin with, but getting this roster cleaned up and back to the finals might take more than a season. I wanna see Jimmy win one, so I’m torn on whether I want him on the Heat or not.

    I couldn't agree more with ya dude. This can end up being a good thing for Miami if it leads to them getting their championship, and they need to get it soon if Jimmy Butler is still a part of their plans. Hell soon in general if you ask me. Now as for Boston, I think it's a fluke. Only way for them to win is if they face zero adversity. I wouldn't have expected to see a championship run where the champion has to overcome zero adversity but here we are. Never seen anything like it, but it's not happening again.
    Also the Florida Panthers have an opportunity to win the Stanley Cup-beating Boston along the way-so this helps a bit too

    Heat trade Herro and a future pick from Kings for Malik Monk or trade up top 5. Heat draft Zach Edey and Hunter Sallis probably most underrated best PG in the 2nd round, ZYON Pullin, Keshad Johnson, or Antonio Reeves. Zach Edey is NBA ready, great touch on offense, can pass out the double, and when you need an easy bucket. Sign Jonas in free agency. I love this teams chance with the new roster after this move. If you trade Jimmy it has to be 5 first round draft pick and 2 young players. If you go for Lauri, you give herro, 2 future first round pick, and sign and trade Highsmith
    Dejounte or Hunter Sallis or ZYON PULLIN, Keshad Johnson Terry or Malik Monk

    The fact that most people didn't even watch this finals tells you something... NoBODY likes boston.. secondly... this should PAIN Jimmy and Bam ... and especially Godfather... There is no way. after this season, that you show up next season and coast thru the regular season Jimmy...
    Secondly.. TRADE TYLER .. i know its easy to say but HES NOT IT.. and we need a BIG. enough with the garbage pail bench mob. No Caleb Swiders, No Kyle Guys (2023). No Drew Smith.. Get Hayword up outta here..Hell no Orlando Robinson AND Thomas Bryant enough is enough... get Markennen in here, get Julius randall if you have too, get BIGS WHO CAN HELP BAM .. we can find guards at the YMCA in north miami and turn them into a starter.... so enough... We need ATHLETICISM.... not guys with big hearts..... if you want to get a guard.. and you want someone who can put the bucket in the basket.. get spider get zach levine ( who is TLYER HERRO but better) and lets stop playing games with the east. Philly remains trash. Orlando is coming.. and Boston had to create the avengers to get a chip... SO GET IT DONE NO FKNG EXCUSES PAT...

No matter how many levels of training and devt you pound into them, they just don't have the talent we seek in someone like a Wemby, Edwards, luka, you know what I mean. This is a hot take. And I know I'll be roasted by fellow heat fans. But the reason we can't get over the hump is primarily because of Bam. 6 yrs of player devt and guy still a liability on offense. We should trade him and rozier with picks for Cade Cunningham. That secures our core superstar. Then trade jovic or Jaquez should be swapped to a triple threat offense bigman. Embiid would be best case scenario. Worst case is Nikola Vucevic or even markonnen. Doesn't matter I'll take any of them. Then we trade injury prone Herro for picks, Don't care he's the Ben Gordon of Kawhii Leonards. The role of Bam can then be easily filled by any strong, super tall quick defender. Drafts/trade don't matter it's easy to spot that type of guy. We then keep Jimmy. He is the superstar in playoffs time. Pair him with cade and bunch of shooting defenders.
