Love the backstory, reminds me of something that would happen in a Future '80s or '90s film. I think Savage could use a robot adversary though. Something dug up in the desert that should've been destroyed decades ago, and now it's back to cause problems again. And your face by the end had me smiling. You look like you built an actual robot. lol
Found this through Mr. Boylei Hobby Time - A-FREAKING-MAZING!!! This build series has kept my attention all day! Thank you Bill Make Stuff, and to each and every contributor for sharing your creativity, process, humor, insight, and did I mention entertaining? Yes, entertaining! I hope y'all will make this something of a regular/annual sort of group enterprise. Very clever concept, extremely diverse results, however - most of all - and Ms. Whittle Goblin said it best - I found a whole new bunch of channels to subscribe, like, and continue watching. Keep up the GREAT WORK!
Amazing, very welcome! Love Boylei such a talent, I also found a couple new people to sub to through this Collab too so seems like a great success all round :)
Oh man..great video and collection...knowing the topic and seeing the various stuff, I had SO much anxiety like "noooo....not that one...not those...." 😂
Sayin' that K'nex are now being considered vintage hit me hard. I still have a giant tub of those things I've collected as a kid sittin' in my room. Gotta say though, that was a slick move using K'nex as the armature/skeleton. The whole build turned out really cool. The lean and limber look gives an agile EVA like feel. Glad Bill put this collab together, introduced me to a buncha really cool folks who made some awesome things.
Your creativity really comes through Theo! As always, you keep me on the edge of my seat wanting to see more. Your channel is one of the few I take the time to watch 100% everytime I binge on Slime House TV. You know how to tell a good story as the video unfolds and what you managed to pull off with random pieces is simply outstanding. As you would say, "you smashed it!" Kudos!
This looks wicked. Such a great end result. Can totally picture Savage running around a Titanfall 2 map. Loved the backstory as well. Amazing work man. 🔥
First time watching one of your videos thanks to #bigbotbash. Have to say it was awesome to watch you work on this. Seeing you glue knex definitely made me feel uncomfortable but was a great idea. Fair play to you!
Great lean-in on the design constraints, great design, great backstory, and NO UNNECESSARY RIVETS! You have no idea how tired I am of seeing people add rivets to parts that would be machines, cast, or welded. You have truly made something that could only be called a BIG BOT.
You went from "i have done this" and dived DIRECTLY into "pro" difficulty scale and precision. You're a stellar creator and i hope that this project didn't take so much outa you that you wouldn't want to try another scratchbash in the future!
Dude, Savage is definitely a savage! He looks amazing! I really enjoyed the story you made for him, it tied everything together and made this video quite enjoyable! Thanks for sharing! 🤘🏼🤘🏼
GET IN THE MECH, THEO! This is such a cool build. I’m feeling so inspired and motivated by this project, and every single one in this playlist! Thanks for sharing your creative spirit with all of us, Theo! ❤
Brilliant end result, really nailed the levels of curved to straight surfaces on the frame for the era you were gunning for- and the GUN! Love the silhouette the front half of the thing gives it, and how the slightly smoother surfaces it has in comparison complements the wielder like the bigger armor plates I WILL need a list of the first three sets of vintage toys shown at 4:21 though, and the teal guy at the back with the 4 diode eyes at 5:25, marvelous!
The lankiness of the build is actually so cool and unique compared to a lot of the other bots from the challenge, it really reminds me of an EVA Unit or a Gundam, this is the first vid i have seen from this channel and the fact that the normal content isn't scratch building is mind blowing. Excellent work.
@@thorren1633 really appreciate the kind words man looking forward to the next bot bash for sure, helps me scratch that scratch building itch that I rarely get to do in my normal work 🙏
Wow, I really enjoyed the backstory more than I thought I would. I know this isn’t normally your thing, but you did really good. Would love to see you scratch build more. But you do you, nothing but love and respect. Be well
Really been looking forward to this. You didn't disappoint. Love the Chappie/Johnny Five vibes you've got going and the backstory was ace. Gotta go get me some KNex right now.
Holy! Seeing your Spare psrts made me jelly, I am trying to get Accessoires here im germany for some tmnt and my skeletor, in 4 month I could not even get a Skeletor Staff or belt this could be so demoralising hahaha. Iam always amazed of your collection, the way you display and decorate seriously a good feel of putting your soul into it! I dig this Spirit
That turned out great! I really dig that. Been saving up some pieces and thinking about doing something similar actually, we will see, so many things going on and not enough energy or time but been preparing and doing small steps here and there. Good work! Looking forward to see what else to come. Godluck with everything!
Oh man, the bubble tape shoulder pads brought me back! When I was younger, I made a small space ship for Mighty Max using one of those cases as a base.
I swear the worst part about the "gather a pile of likely bits and just go for it" method is having to put back all the crap you didn't use afterwards in to its proper storage boxes 😀 Amazing build, such good work.
An absolute piece of creative joy there Theo, really interesting to see how it all came together. Also good to hear a bit of Jim Cornette and Brian Last in the background there fellow listener 😁
I have some old pre-built gundam with the odd piece missing, it's a surprise that some are over 30yrs old and have all the pieces and accessories. I've been watching bill for a few years now, I've enjoyed all the videos so far and it's great that there other channels I'm finding as a result
Bots mean looks really animated and so much detail, thought the bolts on the feet were genius too, may have to steal that idea on some of my builds in the future
The build is amazing and the story that goes along with it is even better. I need the tv show and the movie and the complete toy line now please and thank you
Amazing my friend ! At the beginning thought you was going to destroy the Z Knights ! 😳 glad you didn’t ! I have the black one with horns and a different large blue one as well as loads of the smaller ones Great build
Kind of reminds me of Real Steel, Love, Death and Robots, and The Creator. This was a great build, you should build more of the giant robots of this world.

Lovely build, bud. I had knex as a child... I wanted Lego!
You and me both haha
Thank you man. Really enjoyed your build too 💯🙏
The way it's holding that gun makes it look proper heavy. Good thing Savage is on our side!

This is amazing, it has presence! Love the pose feels like the gun is heavy. You must be super proud after that big effort to get it finished.
Thanks, I'm glad you thought I breathed some life Into him!
This is my fav. build from the colab. Love a spindly robot. (Also glad he had a happy ending to his story!)
Wow high praise! Thank you 🙌
Amazing bot! I really enjoyed watching your problem solving for this build. And I think you’re really onto something with the k’nex.
Much respect dude, just about to watch your episode!

Your bot looks great! Nice to see how respectful you are with those vintage toys, and I see this as a cool upcycle project.
Thanks man, and yeh The toy love always comes first 🙏🙏🙏

This looks wicked. Such a great end result. Can totally picture Savage running around a Titanfall 2 map. Loved the backstory as well. Amazing work man. 🔥
Thanks man! Would love to do an animation one day. 🙏
LOVED IT SO MUCH! Maybe you could put a little girl figure or the grown woman beside him?
I would really love to add her at somepoint, and her dog too!
Smashed this, man! So many recognisable parts when put together become something completely new. Works so well.
Thanks dude 💪
The time & effort that's gone into both the build and video is phenomenal! Awesome job bro 👏
Much respect everytime my bro 💯👊

Haha i like the rivets! Just didn't feel right for this guy
Ah dude I remember the Monster Truck shows in the early 90s! They were epic sights at the young age we were. Robot looks mint you have mad skills!
Thank you dude!

Absolutely brilliant! That story ended up way more wholesome than I thought it would.
Ahh thanks!
Straight up your best video. I love seeing creative Theo. You nailed it brother. Loved the story too, nice happy ending!
Mate first of all - amazing build - and you burst your studios cherry with a killer! and loved your story, some one has to do a manga of that!

Fantastic video Theo..great light and sound design and the back story on Savage had me convinced 👏
Much appreciated man, I spend a long time trying to make my shots look the best they can so I really appreciate that 💪
Big bot bash was a brilliant idea and you stepped right up to the plate!

Amazing job with the robot Theo, when you began bulking it out and applying the texture and paint it really came together.

Small tip to make sprays cans last longer, leave it in warm water for about 20 mins and it'll come out in thinner layers, and last longer
Oh I always do this I like in the UK where it's cold 24/7 so this is always standard practice haha
