I have a giant and I was surprised at how much it can tackle for such a small bike (only has 115 mm of rear travel) but it's heaps of fun and hardly ever have problems with it. Really cool to see you're riding for them!
Top tip for fitting hoses on carbon frames, take the fork off and feed the hoses/cables up from the downtube cable hole by the shock, then you can get your fingers up through the steerer tube and into the top of the downtube to poke the cables through the cable holes. makes it so much easier.

Dude giant is a great company!! Such a good warranty as well on their carbon!!! Used to work for them and got their new 2021 reign sx before I left and it is sick!! At the time I got it msrp was like 3800 but it has risen since then. It is still such a great deal!!
Fox told me it wasn't covered if u tap, so I got the stem to go with, and had a loose headset every 2 rides. The new lite version is much safer or the tap. I got rid of it last week and just put on a wolftooth bling kit (chromag sold out)

Paul, amidst far too many UA-camrs singing the praises of the Ibis Ripley AF and Transition Spur, I believe that you have a real opportunity to show that a "big bike brand" can compete very well against the boutiques. The Trance has taken some criticism for holding onto a 67 degree HTA for too long but the new Trance just may be the bike that redefines how capable a trail bike can actually be. Looking forward to seeing your comments on how the new Trance handles the tech in Squamish and Whistler. Cheers!

Video idea: I've seen lots of oneup dropper reviews, and a few where people have used it to replace another dropper, but for some reason no one has done one demonstrating how much more drop you can actually get with a oneup dropper because of it's short insertion and stack height. For example, I have gen 1 fox transfer 150 mm that BARELY fits my bike at full insertion (I had to mount the post backwards in order to avoid the triangular level point hitting my linkage). I would love to know if I made the switch how much more drop I could get if I were to get a oneup dropper instead? A compare and contrast video focused on insertion depth and stack height would be amazing!
Will be interesting to hear what you have to say about maestro after riding it for a while. I’ve had an older trance for a while but I’m not 100% sure that’s my next trail bike (when this one brakes). I bounce between this and vpp style.
Well damn, didn’t see that coming in a million years. But Giant makes some really solid bikes. With the Trance X they have finally really adopted modern geo, and it has a flip chip that actually does something (none of this .3° BS 😂). A Giant Trance 2 27.5 was the bike that got me back into mountain biking, and this bike has intrigued me since it’s release. I need something to compliment my bruiser enduro/park bike. So I look forward to hearing your ride reviews and impressions overall.
