    Love the quiet hubs, then you can hear the sound of the tires riping and shredding across the dirt instead of an annoying buzzing sound.

    Hearing the trail is one my FAVOURITE parts about biking. I'm a very audible person in my daily life, and hearing the dirt, roots, traction, etc, is just so so important. :)

    I like a louder hub, because most of the time I'm riding a multi-use trail. The loud hub gives the peds a heads-up.

    One can make his freehub quieter/noisier by using more/less grease when servicing. At least this is true of DT Swiss.

    I love hearing the hub click speed increase - gives an additional sense of speed!
    I also get silent hubs and hearing only the tires - but I just upgraded my bike so let me enjoy the extra clicks please! lol

    That's great you got the drone back! My friend had a similar story with a $2k DJI; low battery and it decided to set a new home point and fly off into the wilderness! Luckily they covered it under warranty when he sent them the flight log.

    The bike bit was done and I don't know how many minutes had gone by...and I thought "that was short!"...
    Then the drone conflict came into play 😎

    You look super comfortable on the Giant even though you haven’t been doing a lot of riding. I am going to buy a t shirt today for 2 reasons: 1) I like your videos and I find them entertaining and 2) I think you are going to need extra money this year to keep the arborist on retainer so that you always have him around to fish your drone out of the trees. Thanks for the video.

    Ripper video, mate. I ride the 2021 Trance X 3 29, I got it in Sept last year, and it's fantastic! I agree with what you mean regarding feeling secure and centered. I definitely feel getting more gnarly on this bike is easier for me to do, and pushing the boundaries isn't as scary to level up my riding skills. The trails in Toronto aren't incredibly gnarly but still loads to get me shit scared out here. Cheers mate keep them videos coming!

      I got the reign adv pro 29 1 2021 and it’s pretty loud, if I’m not mistaken, most giant hubs are rebranded dt swisses

    I would LOVE a silent hub. Sure, my E-thirteen sounds cool, but I can't hear what my mates are saying unless I'm pedaling and I'd appreciate hearing my tyres grip or slide as well.
    Really like how "playful and poppy" you look on the bike, it's like the next level is 🔓

    Silent hubs are so much better, you can hear your wheels on the trail so you will have better wheel placment so better speed and overal you will be a much better rider !! (well, that's what i think :)
    That drone you had, i found it for 1200cad$ insted of your 2000cad$ ??

    Cool video. I’m a fellow Brit but without Canadian trails 🙁. I’ve got an anthem advanced pro as my only MTB. I love it. Love your wrap.. might do mine now. I just did the pivot bearings on mine. Stock bearings have a reputation for not having much grease.

      Oh and quiet hubs are better. You can hear what else is going on better. Levels of grip, mates etc..

    I got a YT Izzo in August and that was the first time that I was really like "Oh ok, so this is what it's like being inside the bike." I get it now and it feels great. That was also when I realized just how much of a difference 30mm in reach makes compared to my hard tail I had been riding previously. Night and day.

    As someone who works with drones occasionally from a survey standpoint, ALWAYS CHECK YOUR HOME POINT and the return settings if you are near trees. We've probably lost $40k worth of drones from people doing the exact same thing, so don't feel too bad Paul.

    If your drone is GPS dependent, it’s no surprise it got lost. I’ve always had a hard time keeping my watch and bike GPS connected in the Longsdale to Sechelt corridor.

    It might be worth investing in a climbing harness, rope, and tree spikes. I think spikes are usually around $300.

    Have the new XT hub. Can't decide if it's a silent hub or not. Silence for miles, then out of nowhere, hub buzzing! No issue with how it performs, but it has to go. Not like shimano to churn out something that's not quite right. Will be going for something that buzzes a bit for sure though. Scares the drop bears away👍😄

    Racing BMX I got off Shimano and switch to time carbon-z clipless pedals I've never rode anything else since except for when I'm riding Flats that was 15 yrs ago.

    Why not stick a Tile locator or similar bluetooth tracker to the battery in future, if you have a similar drone mishap it may help find the battery.
