This is surprisingly good. you would think the heavy cream and coconut cream would make this clodgy. But it doesn't. Its smooth and easy to drink, and it tastes really good.
Thank you for all the videos. I just found your channel a few mo the ago and am working my way through the cocktails 🍸. It’s a bit slow going because I like to try each drink. And yet still be conscious. I used papa’s Pilar for this one, and then a light rum. I find the cocktail itself to be a bit difficult to balance. Typically too much rum or juice. That’s not a comment on the recipe, I think it is a feature of the cocktail. You need to enjoy the alcohol flavor to enjoy the drink. Which is fine if you are up for it. This is a very good “second cocktail” to keep the fun feeling. Thank you again.
That is a good question... and I'm not sure. I think It would be the flavor of the rum as the vodka is a neutral spirit and would be less likely to affect the flavor. The Original recipe calls for: 1 1/3 oz White Rum 2/3 oz Vodka 1/3 oz Blue Curaçao 2/3 oz Cream of Coconut 1/3 oz Sweet Cream 1 1/3 oz Pineapple Juice.
David, are you a jimmy buffett fan like myself? I'm always living in a "tropical state of mind", so of course, I always love your tropical concoctions. I'm down here in Tennessee, so I'm nowhere ocean side, but your drinks sure helps to put me there with a bit of buffett playing right along. Cheers, my friend
Charles Schumann is a legend in world of bartending...if you have the chance, try to find the documentary he made a few years ago..it's called: ''Bar talks By Schumann''... he travels around the world to some of the best bars of the world!
Deffo try a different rum, if possible! Bacardi is kinda meh - tier in the long run. Also the descr. title says Painkiller instead of Swimming Pool ;) . As for the vodka, my weapon of choice is not the cheapest nor the most expensive (I am looking at you Crystal Head haha). Green Mark, Russian Standard, Finlandia, Ketel One, Absolut (elyx)...
Thank you. I fixed the title. that seems to happen when I am filming and uploading my videos late at night after work. On the Rum front you are right. I picked up the Bacardi because that was all that was available when they started running out of good stuff.
Excellent lookin' cocktail, Dave!! That vodka is local & you're up in Canada, Eh? I have good local friends from up there. Is that why you always wear a flannel shirt? I liked the way the pineapple turned into a juice glass - slick. The close-ups again, were great, especially at the crushed ice in slow-mo. I wished I had help like that. You said it didn't have a great taste of alcohol. What if you added a bit of that Jamaican white rum, J.Wray & Nephew ovenproof I see there on a shelf?
Thank you. I appreciate the feed back. I do all of the slow motion in the software. I like the flannel because I actually like it. They are my favorite shirts. When my beard is long Ii look like I belong in the woods. I did try some Wray & Nephew but it did not work for me. If you try it let me know what you think.

OF COURSE….. another amazing video…. OF COURSE
Of course X 5 haha
@@peter_W91 Thank you Peter :)
@@boozeontherocks you’re very welcome SIR!
Just made this for my friends.
I was the star of the night.
Thank you very much.
Awesome. I'm glad you and your freinds liked it.
Thanks for the tasty recipes, and as always the laughs! Best drink making channel hands down!
Thank you very much, I'm glad you like the recipes :)

Hey! You finally got your hands on a pineapple!!
Damn Tasty looking drink too!!
I did. It took some effort. I think you would like the drink!
Dude, you're awesome. Thanks for the great mixtures thus far.
Thank you. Let me know if there is anything you want to see me make.
Do you know why the spirit is split instead of just using 1.5oz rum?
That is a good question... and I'm not sure. I think It would be the flavor of the rum as the vodka is a neutral spirit and would be less likely to affect the flavor. The Original recipe calls for:
1 1/3 oz White Rum
2/3 oz Vodka

1/3 oz Sweet Cream
1 1/3 oz Pineapple Juice.
Incredible.
Thank you Tariq.
I would make this as a slushy and add at the end like you did the blue carousel to make it bleed. Awesome video!
That's a really good idea Arley, I will have to fiddle with that.
Looks lovely David. I'll get another pineapple next weekend and try it. Also, I will let you know the coconut rum I get.
Nick from York
Thank you Nick. I look forward to hearing what you think.

I will definitely do that. I have access to it. Thank you for the suggestion.
love this !! died at the pacman ahhahaha next time can you try serving it in the pineapple hehe ^^
I could definitely try that. A drink served inside a pineapple??? That is an interesting idea.
ohhh I see the magic illusion of the disappearing (hiding) fruit. Can't fool me :P I admit when I make these I do all rum.
I know. I realized that in post. Groan...... What kind rum do you use?
@@boozeontherocks I still keep it a light rum or a Plantation Pineapple when I can get it. Cachaca is fun too. Almost like a Batida.

Looks really very yummy 😋 love the editing and slow motion ❤️ Woof! Woof! Pineapple 🍍 Pac-Man 😂 A big thumbs up 👍 and Paw5 🐾
Thank you very much. Great to hear from you.
Your restraint to not call this drink gorgeous was impressive lol
Thank you!.... I'm still working on the Of Course part.

Great... wifey wants me to make this one, too! Back to the liquor store for smurf jizz! I mean Blue Curaçao!
The blue curacao yes, smurf jizz no. Let me know what she thinks
IF ONLY MY STUPID NEIGHBORHOOD POOL WOULD OPEN! I am sooooo making this in my great sadness in hopes we can go poolside again.
Let me know how you like it. And hopefully pool time soon.
Aw, man... you left out the chlorine and fungicide! ;-)
Your right :)
Personally, I liked the pac man joke :D
Thanks!
