In her stream before those comments happened. She literally said: "The only reason I unmuted this guy (the exact guy who made those comments). Is so, I can farm content for video's from him".
I mean she is a female twitch streamer she can’t rely on her personality or charm.
That would be unheard of.
And that's why she's not a victim.
They manufacture their own "oppression." They permit it knowing they can silence it at any time they wish. This isn't unwanted behavior. Quite the opposite, this is entirely desired behavior. Let her have the harvest she cultivated, it's all we deserve; no more, no less.
They always said privilege and power are the deciding factors, and she has all the power to stop it, and gets all the pay/privilege. The guy, as vile as he is, is the victim in this.

You guys missed the clip where she deliberately unmuted the guy for content. That is why she is smiling, she got the addition content she was hunting for, just look more into this situation with Taylor Morgan. People like this woman are the absolute worst kind of people.

Not condoning what the guy said, but gaming has gotten so SOFT. We've been saying it for years, but these people would never last in an old-school MW2 lobby. If you can't handle trash talk, don't engage and just mute the person. Most girl gamers just can't handle it because they crave attention without the capability to handle the negative side that comes with it. Their less competitive and more emotional under most circumstances.
I would have kept the trash talk to the game, but she started the trash talk. If she thinks the guy should be banned, then she should be banned for saying the F word and disparaging the guy's performance in game 😏. If that's the policing she wants, she deserves a ban by her standards.

The amount of highly disturbing things our premiers, chief ministers and chief health officers were saying 3-4 years could and should have absolutely been investigated by the authorities and they should have been charged accordingly, but they weren't, and they never will be. People can react with a smile when they're in shock, however when you take in all the evidence:
A- Instead of reacting to the insult, she repeatedly tried to get him to confirm it, like she wanted to use it as fuel
B- She smiled once she got the confirmation, not before
C- In her tweet, she practically threatened the game devs if she didn't get her way
Makes it clear that she's smiling because she wants this. She's not offended by the insult and she doesn't care about women or 'minorities', she just wants to drum up some controversy. The best thing we can do is reveal her agenda and blow that flimsy bait of hers wide open

In a general I rarely hear it. When I do it is among friends or guildmates. It is always exegerated and uses terms that are vague. That kind of language ends the moment a person say or indicates it is an issue in my experience.
@Lee-km7qq I do agree on that. Its other component is the meaning and intent getting misread as well. in this case both her intent was to set someone up for drama or bate them into getting banned. most of us gamers use the"r" word (just keeping YT from freaking out here) knowing we don't mean it.
Hence why to I and those that I game with regularly (and those we don't most of the time) have no issue with that or most words. Heck, we once made up a fake gas company after a certain Austrian painter. on our own Discords its no limits ussually.

To be fair, I think many have over looked that as that's not the clip being tossed around. You're absolutely right, it's need for context...but as someone (myself) who's now seen 3 videos discussing this matter, a 4th mentioning it....reading your comment here & a few others is the first I've heard mention of that additional clip.

This is your platform on liberalism. They'd argue that to mute players is to have their (the person being acosted's) rights to have mean comments typed up at them to be infringed. I know it sounds absurd and it is on every level but this is liberal philosophy we're talking about. There is no absurdity they will not recognise.

these games already have in depth reporting and banning systems. Me and friends have gotten suspended a few times for winning a few trash talking competitions. 😅 but what she wants is to kick them off the platform. Even now people are trash talking but then reporting people and getting them suspended when they try to trash talk back. Its a messy system.

He was playing a video game, she was playing "gotcha". It is a game some women play to rob opponents of their win. Moreover, if he was winning, she is likely to use that to get back at him. This is a common revenge game I have seen women play. It sucks to be on the receiving end of the "gotcha" game.

While I wouldn't have said what he said, I have a saying I live by and all should live by, "if you go smack a bear, don't be surprised when you get bit", she engaged in smack talk and didn't like the outcome, so it's on her! She wasn't hurt by that anyway, she is playing a game and she knew what she was doing and like they say, "all is fair in love and war", so no, speech shouldn't be censored!
The guy was definitely saying worse than he should, but that smile had the words "I got you now" written on it. That expression can't be faked, and the exact look only appears on the face of someone looking for ways to mess with another person. When she suddenly covered it and her eyes shifted was the point where she realized she smiled and didn't want to be noticed that way. Look closely at her eyes in the last segment and you can see what they're saying. They're very expressive, and you can see first a glimmer of joy with the smile, then a look that says "oops" as she tries hiding it. Both sides of that exchange are doing somethin they shouldn't: One saying things that are just too vile and shouldn't be thrown around that way, and the other one purposefully trying to get that kind of language to use as a shield she can hide behind while launching a larger attack against every idea she disagrees with.
He's willing to go way further than he really should, and she's definitely been looking for someone like that because she wants it as ammo for her own kind of attack.
This is just a case of what under normal circumstances would be a standard interaction, but happens with two people who both are significantly worse than the usual and one of them having probably searched for it.

An important point that seems to be forgotten when people talk about this, is that she wants to destroy the used hardware market to protect her feelings. Hardware bans don't just ban the person using it at the time but also anyone that may purchase down the line.

IF all players have a mute function available to them, and they choose not to use it, then what they hear is on them, and they should be the ones seen as the villain in the scenario. If anything should be changed by game operators, MAYBE I could see setting the mute function to ON for all players by default, making it so the player has to choose to enable chat with other players on a case by case basis (with those choices being persistent).

There needs to be laws, against reporting systems in publicly traded companies. If companies are enforcing policies/rules then what is the role of an impartial police or local authority? This is clearly a private workaround to fascist control. They want to remove the lack of bias from the authority.

Trash talking has been around for ages. I'd say Ali used it to devastating effect. It worked back then and it works now.
This kind of stuff has been happening for as long as competitive gaming has been around, but because it was primarily dominated by a male audience who don't care, nothing was ever said about it. But now that gaming has become the in thing for all these sensitive women it's suddenly a problem 🙄.

Actually... different trolls have different reasons for trolling. I usually only troll when I feel someone is being or has been obnoxious or disrespectful. My trolling is geared towards MAKING people block me. That's MY win condition.
