    ABOUT:
The First exists for the massive group of Americans whose voices have been ignored. The people who are passionate about American values, aren’t afraid to engage big ideas, and who care about where the country is headed. The people who are conservative in their views but aren’t beholden to any party’s talking points. The independent thinkers who rely on things like the facts, context, and perspective to inform their ideology. The people who, although they form the backbone of this country, have been cast aside by the politicians and the media.
The people whose beliefs and values are increasingly being cancelled. They are why we created The First. You are why we created The First.

I remember that incident well. I was on my way driving to Florida from Ohio when the news came across the radio.

The old US embassy was literally across the street from a soccer stadium, we could have easily landed there and rescued the hostages. I was a teenager then and have vivid memories of those days, we literally expected the US to take action but Carter did not have the courage to do anything. Driving literally across Iran to rescue the hostages and then drive back was an asinine plan and that’s an understatement! Less than 2 years later I escaped from the old country across the mountains to Turkey. While in Istanbul waiting for my US visa, I met a Marine that had been part of the ill fated rescue mission. He told me the original plan was in fact to land the choppers in Tehran, in the stadium but it was deemed too risky….not sure how exactly they thought driving in military vehicles across the country was less risk🤦

If memory serves me correctly, Reagan said; after I'm sworn in as President, I'll be in attack mode immediately to get our people home...

In all fairness to Carter the polling was a dead heat as late as the weekend before the election.

At least Carter was duly elected and not corrupt as far as I know.
