I have 2 XM316 blaster’s I call the twins one black and one tan and they are just nylon gearbox’s that I put together and they are sitting at 330/340fps and have done for over a year now

Nylon gearbox are much nices for durability. My friends loved nylon gearbox bcs it is quite affordable. They had bad experience for metal gearbox, it didnt last longer on m140spring. Idk why
I have been running a cut down m140 in my vector for 2 years now,I run a 30cm barrel with a teardrop 80% port..and still have original re-shimmed plastic gears...avg fps 380

@@KamranRulez2020lots of patience and time my friend! I'm building a gel blaster right now with 13.1 gears a high torque brushless motor and lemme tell you it's a lonnggg process to getting everything right so it will last longer than a week lol
I am rocking a 110 spring in a nylon gearbox, it out performs my 130 in a metal gearbox, but both have an 11.4 volt battery with metal gears.
I would put money on the metal gearbox having a 6mm nozzle and the nylon probably has a 8mm nozzle, anything with a 6mm nozzle and that's most v2's is harder to get power out of it, but with a 8mm nozzle it's much easier to produce more fps ,kinda like when you blow through two different diameter straws the the thinner one can't flow as much as the thicker one

Could you pls pls make a video of the inside of the gearbox because I really want to get an idea of what I'm going to be working with and also the trigger design so I can buy a metal one.
You shouldn't test it out of the receiver as the box can flex and the piston can come off the rails and cause the walls on the box to stay bent out of shape.
Yo I miraculously ran into this video because I just bought that gearbox, I believe it's the J12 AK gearbox because I'm building the worlds first mg-34 full metal gel Blaster and now I have better hopes for this gearbox. thx for making the video.

1: I reckon that V3 gearbox is maybe out of an STS AK? Maybe? I dunno. That's my guess on the box.
2: Those nylon gears deserve a little glass display box and should head straight to the pool room.

Bout to buy a gel blaster m4 and put a DSG gearset upgrade spring and 6mm feel nozzle and hopup
It works pretty nice, if I get some actually nice plastic gears, I will use it till it break, and they last very long, heck sometimes the gearbox breaks first due to strong spring, they are no joke when shimmed properly

Loguido, can you do a video showing how to remove the stock tube of a CYMA SR-16E3 and how to put a new buttstock tube on it? I have tried to mount new buttstock on the existing tube none will fit the existing tube so I need to replace the buttstock tube

> Upgraded o-rings = less chance of leaks = better chance of consistent higher fps
> Metal gears = long life.
I'd start with just upgrading the spring. Do the rest later when/if you need it.
On an low cost blaster, upto M120 should be fine. One high quality blasters, M130 should be fine and M140 will work but something will break eventually
My all metal M4 ( M4 undertaker at GBU) shoot 380fps, all metal gears, V2 12;1 gear ration, 10in handrail , simple looking, wanted power accuracy (a sleeper) 110m spring , razor hope up etc,). BUT THE GEL BALLS ARE 80% exploding. Aka, beast gel balls when firing……… when it works 35m dead straight hard hitting, but what’s the point when most explode !!!!! why is this happening please and what can I do to fix it. I’m happy to pay to send to you to make a video {lol}…………… help snd advise!!!!

Have you resolve the problem yet? Cause from my experience you just need to check out for barrel porting, cause machine porting sometime leave some kind of sharp edge, always sand it with 3000 sand paper to smooth it out, other wise this will happen..i mean like alot
Check mag if hava anykind spiky or hard surface area then check t piece,also check nozzle rubber,then go to inner barrel 😎💪

the problem with using nylon gears and big springs happens when you go from using a big spring i.e: m140, and drop back down spring strength, to like a m120 for example, coz thats when the forces onthe the gears changes and creates the weak point.
I find the problem is generally when they get too hot and just melt.

Hey low guido would it be fine to use a 1.28 unequal spring on nylon gears
high chance they would break. you may get lucky (like this video) but I wouldn't do it. (at least not for anything I wanted to last long term)

@@stevepatterson6297 looks like a v3 gearbox for j12 but earlier version by looking at the blowback position is on the side and the newer versions moves the blowback tab to the top of the gbox and the mag contacts are no longer using springs like we see in the video.

M100 there isn't any need to go bigger than that. I only do it the break stuff on pourpose.

Noob here, planning to get a Cyma M4 cqb. Besides getting an 11.4v, what others things do you guys recommend to upgrade using the stock nylon gear to increase the FPS?
Change plunger with metal teeth,plungerhead + new oring,get better airseal,pistonhead double o ring+ nozzle,also create better airseal not 100% but better from stock,using spring m95 minimum,or m120 (for short terms using nylongearbox) ,gearset 18:1 mybe 13:1 for good trigger respond,using full cylinder not ported cylinder yeah of couse using high torque motor too!! Then you will have increase fps not accuracy 😌

A standard motor, ussually cannot pull a SHS M140 Spring when it has already been compressed. For a M130, some bullshit standard motor can, some cannot. That's a bit insight for you guys before put any spring into your toy.

O the issues with current load on high rate springs if current covid-19 cases on parts like the M160 motor that due to the wrong thread count cracked a locking pin and gave short issue Till I stuck a motor screw in the neg on top and smoked it out.or the German spring that sticks to the back metal plug not on the spring release current 1.4 sweet like while I fix the M160 motor 🤕🧐😡 car battery??????180 or super cool it 160 will run a 480 spring??for bat FN crazy 🤣how to distroy every gearbox.
