Nice video. I really recommend people take their time when it comes up customising. Gather all the knowledge and hear different opinions, gather info. I waited several months to upgrade my J10 and now I’ve got it shooting an average of 299.8fps, 12:1 metal gears, M100 spring, 11 volt, green o-ring, alloy barrel, and I couldn’t be happier with mine. TAKE YOUR TIME!
I agree theres no point upgrading to 11.1v battery with plastic gears when all your going to do is strip them.
@@robjamtv6793 exactly right mate. better off getting some metal gears to be safe, only $40 and they will last forever.
Put an 11v and m100 in my gen 8 waited 2 months for the nylon gears to shred but they wouldn't.. was avg 311fps

Pretty good advice video! Good tip is to enjoy till it breaks then try to mod. Got 40,000 thousand out of My Gen 9 before spring broke! Could have gotten more if I just repared!
Is their such thing as an alloy rifled barrel? Just got a gen 8 and thinking that could really help reduce the spread of the gells.

I know I’m late but, is it’s essential to upgrade or more just optimal? Like would I need to or is it more I can if I want? (Looking at getting a Vector if that helps)
Vectors gear boxes are difficult and weak for upgrades upgrades are useful but it’s up to you with the vector due to the weak gear box you would only do the sealing system better motor and better battery
Damn your shop is packed with boxes of blaster. I wish we have a place like this. Freakin law making airsoft, gel blaster and even paintball markers illegal.
Extra tips- Ask for original parts back. Check what shim they used: If they can not give whats left in the bag or have no idea your in trouble. Get the name of the person who did the work. Test in the shop, test in the shop- 50% of "techs" just watched youtube to get skills.
i basically got my hanke m97 like a sniper at 15 metres with a spring upgrade not even got a hop up on it
Does anyone have any experience with the SHS high torque motors on Aliexpress?
I shredded my pinion gear the other day after replacing the stock gears with 16:1 steel gears, and decided if im getting a steel pinion I may as well get it attached to a better motor.
If it's a genuine SHS HT motor then yes, they are good motors. There are heaps of clones though. Be wary of buying from AliX as the clones are more prevalent. Make sure you do your research first.

The Gen 9 ACR takes that 1.3 irregular spring very well now MK gearbox on a M120 M155 irregular think you may want to short stroke????????going to have to make a call and yet hear a vector in that crap plastic clear on a M190???? Don't last long but! And did you know with neodymium if you super cooled it you on a M160 motor theoretical could run a 480 spring unfortunately you would blow any gearbox up and need titanium you know....
