Sometimes the beginners teach better and describe the struggles best 😊 Now I understand when someone tells me “teach me!” And I’m like uuuhhh… but I just started I have no clue what I’m doing. But us beginners do know in this beginner phase. Of course we get farther with the “experts” but the best teacher is yourself as you try ❤❤❤ thanks for sharing you’r beginner videos
Your gelli plate tutorial for beginners was on par with the classes I took at art school. WOW! I've always wanted to learn printing techniques but I was too intimidated. Not anymore!! I feel like I'm already addicted to gelli prints! Thank you Sheri for taking out the fear of learning a new medium.
The best intro video on yt🎉 Q: 14:47 can use all kinds of paints... what about craft paint? It's more translucent. How can we use those kinds of cheaper paints in gelli printing? [And if possible can you also do a video about using them and best ideas in combination with etc? Also is there anything we can add to them to make them thicker like more regularly used paints].
Hi There.. yes, craft paints are great to use. I don't add anything to my paints to make them thicker. They create their own uniqueness on the gel plate. However, there are things that you can use. Great idea for a video, I will move this to the top of my list.. great question! Thank you!
Sandra.. it can very fun and addictive to make these kinds of prints, I will have another video on the artists who have influenced this type of printmaking soon.
I use many kinds of paints and planning a video on the different kinds you can use.. if you go to my UA-cam shorts.. you can get an idea of what I use until I upload that video ua-cam.com/play/PLlonm55wINKIhY30FbzaH1uxL6POoEo-e.html What kinds of paints do you use now?
Hi Christina! You can use another smaller gel plate (that will get a bonus print) or you can use paper plate, teflon sheet, really anything you don't mind putting paint on... however, my favorite is another gel plate.
Very helpful, but I’m a little crazy about gel printing on a gel plate made by Gelli Arts. Not gelli printing. Don’t know why it bothers me so much, it just does. Sorry.

This is by far the best video I have seen for a beginner! My gelli plate is still in its packaging, but I'm excited to get it out now!
Awh, thank you that made my day! 💗💗
Ester, just checking in with you, have you opened that gelli plate, yet? If so, how is it going? If not, how can I help get you started?
Thank you. This really helped me

What do you suggest using for a pallet?
