The door to Barney's interrogation room getting stuck just seems to be a thing that happens sometimes whenever I de/recompile the Station 01 map. I have briefly addressed it before in a video on my other channel, entitled "A completely normal day in Half-Life 2"; I don't know why it happens, but it does.
G-Man _was_ supposed to appear in the last part of the Ravenholm map with the car traps, but I suppose you skipped too many of his triggers and he was stuck elsewhere.
I appreciate your appreciation of the moment where G-Man appears in the Black Mesa East airlock only to vanish the moment you're able to access it, that was one sequence I was rather fond of. And the chef hat scene was a commenter request from my original video of this concept that I just couldn't pass up. Thanks for playing, again!
Also, fun fact, Station 02 has a secret ending. I was supposed to mention this in the workshop post but it completely slipped my mind. So now all y'all can try finding it!

fun fact: the maps that appear in the gman scene in the start
are actual places that take place IN the map you start in
so if you have sv_cheats 1 enabled you can fly over to them
the first 45 seconds by Necros, was too emotional
i thought this was the addon where gman would have sightings in any map, but this is way cooler
Theres a mod for that, I think its called Gman sightings - He is always watching
It basically turns the game to a sort of escort mission. You need Gman alive to complete the game, but he's constantly trying to kill you. You gotta keep him safe from harm while you keep yourself safe from him and everything else around you.
Imagine this but on regular maps and subtler, without him chasing you I mean
