I unfortunately have to say I feel it’s the opposite. Absolutely love the music, great sound, ticks all the boxes, then I made the mistake watching a video of them. The leads persona annoys the shit out of me, and feel like it’s watching 12 yr old kids trying to act like adults. Their image, I think is their only downfall. Not taking anything away from their talent though. And must reiterate, think the music is spot on.

What I like is their departure from the more recent rock stars that look as much like "rock stars" as the kid sacking groceries at the local supermarket. I play, sing and write and wear my hair halfway down my back as part of my stage image. I want my fans to see a genuine rocker behind the music. It's not going to be for everybody but it's right for particular fans. Beside the music, which is coming along nicely, the image GVF is projecting works for me very well.
I am a 51 years old man. When I first heard Greta Van Fleet, the hair raised on my body, I couldn’t believe what I was hearing!!! I love 70’s through modern rock, but they just kill it!! The similarity to all the bands they are compared to, is what makes this band so unique right now. I love it and want more. No band has what they have right now, no one. My 17 year old loves it so its reaching all age groups. They are simply amazing and getting better. I wish you a long and fruitful career and i so look forward to the upcoming release.

Rock was never a sound... It was an attitude... Rebellious, forward thinking, unheard of. There's nothing rebellious in tradition, and that's really what this band is, sticking to the safe and accepted sound like gospel. What a joke, and really a disgrace to the older bands who at one point actually were forward thinking. Wanna find rock? Go to an EDM concert. I'm sure you'll hate it, but older people tend to hate rebellion.
The problem is that they mostly bring a Led Zep vibe. Let’s be honest man. If a band actually did combine elements of Queen, Zep, Ac/DC, Steve Miller Band and Aerosmith in an authentic way, it would be extremely creative and experimental. This sounds 85%zep or maybe a lil Rush influenced and 15% their own spin. They will come into their own one day, I’m sure of it. But right now they are still tweaking their own sound identity. I was hoping when they finally did release new music, it would sound EXACTLY like I thought it would sound, and that’s exactly what this song is.
Rock is a genre of music. What do you think they called distorted guitars and kick ass riffs. EDM is a whole different thing and should not be compared to rock. The person people put on while playing rock is the rebelliousn part. They are purposely trying to bring back that sound of good, kick ass rock. They have stated that many times before. You can't just say that since they play the same type of music, that they aren't forward thinking. Don't jump the gun on criticizing people next time buddy.

I like the band and although they are growing, they still have some Led Zeppelin. They’re nothing special right now, they’re just good. That’s all. Joshs’ voice and persona is the X factor. That’s about it.

I like that when artists choose to leave studio blabla and random noises on the record. zeppelin did that occasionally. I don't mind bonham screaming on 'whole lotta love' and his bass pedal squeaking on 'since I've been loving you' either.

daniel almaraz One thing is the voice, it’s another thing for them to dress like Led Zeppelin, for Josh to have the same mannerisms as Plant, and for them to use the same riffs. I like the band and although they are growing, they still have some Led Zeppelin. They’re nothing special right now, they’re just good. That’s all. Joshs’ voice and persona is the X factor. That’s about it.
Here's the answer: I'd start to develop my own personality to sound different, as soon as possible.

Has anyone noticed that the big first chord is literally “Hard Days Night” from the Beatles? I love it. They really do a great job of showing their influences .
