From a spiritual/ religious stand point, Gary Yourofsky saying humans worship the objects we make in God's name more than the beings He breaths life into, I was struck by it. I carry that realization to this date and I am so grateful for the perspective.

I think that altruistic perception of treating all animals with respect is lost through indoctrination and social conditioning in life, and then people who become hopeless carnists later in life think they're apathy and speciesism is totally their own decision. I don't get the logic behind the hitler question, even if it wasn't propaganda and he actually was a vegetarian what would that prove? Should we stop believing the earth is round in case hitler also thought so? As odd as this sounds, I wish I had heard Gary's speech prior to becoming Vegan, not to become Vegan sooner as such, but because I can't begin to imagine the level of enlightenment that his words could make one feel, what a truly powerful speech.

Especially Gary's speech he did plant the seed in my head but afterwards i was still like "weeeelll, the doctors say I need more red meat because i'm suffering from anemia. And canines tho". But i'd like to give an honourable mention to Dominion and the street activism of Joey Carbstrong because the next vegan video I saw was Dominion and I went vegan cold turkey that instant. I remember thinking that no wonder I am anemic because the animals I'm eating are too!

I must say there are a few things I disagree with in Gary Yourofsky's speech but he still largely deserves n°1 in my opinion.
The things he says that I do agree with has so much gravitas you just can't disagree unless you are an hypocrite.
I think James Wildman and his 101 reasons to go vegan deserves some props too as he was advocating during times similar to Gary
