This is one of the times when it feels like you've tapped into the heartbeat of something old and wild and lovely. The instrument choices, all the vocal layers, the video atmosphere, it's all perfect.
That intro bass vocal is awesome
Reminds me of the intro to Nameless, by Miracle of Sound (Gavin Dunne), his Planescape: Torment song! It's called 'Khoomei'.

This sounds really nice. I like the viking-vibe both the music and the video has. And while this is acoustic it kind of sounds more metal than the original.
But the way Dave is actually standing close to an edge while singing "one step closer to the edge" is both beautiful an terrifying. Beautiful because it visualizes the metaphor of beeing close to the edge so nicely but terrifying at the same time because if I was standing there I would be scared of falling.
