      One of the things I enjoyed with Weird Al's "A Complicated Song" is that while he doesn't do anything to the music he pokes fun by rewriting the refrain every verse. Or maybe it's the chorus. Music's technical terms are kind of vague in my head, assuming they're recognized at all.

      most genres have their own style of writing, but you it acts more like something that goes around the lyrics, giving the "vibes". so playing with the musicality of stuff changes the feel of it a little, but will almost always work :)

    You can see they had a lot of fun with this one, being able to introduce a bunch of different ideas into a single song. They made the dullest pop rock song ever into a quite fascinating piece.
