You can see that thor truly loves Loki and Loki truly loves thor. but because of his shattered heart he never got to be the prince of Asgard he was going to be. He died as soon as he realized it's okay to be broken and became nice. But Thanos ruined his chance at a better life as an avenger.

When Thanos throw down his corpse, he said "no resurrection this time." -- Implying that there *is* resurrection "last time" Maybe I'm just overthinking this, maybe he just mean Loki's faked deaths, but... resurrection means brought back to life from the dead... Thanos didn't say no illusion or no trickery, which would kinda make more sense as Loki is known for illusion and tricks. And they should all know that he faked his death with an illusion... But no, Thanos chose this specific wording -- "Resurrection"... I can't help but feel like it suggest that Loki, at some point in the past, had actually died... and was brought to life again, possibly even by Thanos himself...

His mother Frigga was killed by a dark elf, his father Odin died in front of his eyes, Thanos killed his best friend Heimdall, along with his brother Loki and his people, but most importantly he lost his dignity and belief. He's not a leader or a king he's no more than a worthy warrior who lost everyone and everthing but yet he still chose to fight.
