However on the eastern front it was not unheard of for a single hand grenade to disable a tank if an infantryman could close enough to strategically place it among the exposed engines components at the stern. Once the vehicle was stopped, it could be mined or burned or any number of other things if the crew didn’t abandon it immediately
Not only that... the Tiger is not designed correctly in this game. If looking at the hatch on the turret, that is from an early edition of the tank, same with the fuel lines aft. But then you look at the wheels, which is from late edition of the tank. *scratches head*
Would be cool if they had a mode where the Germans get like 2 or 3 Tigers and the Americans have 8 - 12 Shermans each with their respected armor and firepower.

@@tenofswords618 they could balance better. It took a tiger 60 seconds for its turret to do a 360 degree turn. And it really wasnt a fast tank. They should make it slower and less agile, and cut that turret travers by half, and then make its 88 an extremely deadly gun. They make one of the most feared tanks of ww2 on par with a damn Valentine.. they should add a Comet. That is more on par with it. And replace the valentine with a Cromwell. They could make it a little more realistic and balanced.
Their way of trying to be historically accurate is when half the battlefield is covered with females because the battlefield 5 design director's daughter asked: "Why can’t I make a character that looks like me?" I'm not even kidding, that's exactly what happened. He also told consumers not to buy the game because of that reason and is probably baffled as to why they need to sell the game at 50% off retail within 2 weeks of release wondering why the game isn't selling.
I wish they had an option in the settings to turn on historical accuracy. Just for those that actually care about history and want to play a WW2 game. It's actually really hilarious how EA can't seem to do anything right with any of their games anymore. I knew EA was bad, but they've just been getting worse and worse. Now i can't think of any good games they've released in recent time.
If you like WW2 and RTS games, you really should try Company of Heroes. These series are the best RTS games alongside Starcraft, CC, and a couple more. You cannot field a Panzer Tiger unless you field a specific commander for it, and only one/player is available. You mostly use Panther and PIV as Wehrmacht, or specific tanks such as PIV bumbar, Puma tank, PIII tank destroyer model... same applies to allies (soviets, UK and USF) The game is not 100% historical accurate, but it tries at least. The gameplay mechanics are great, and still receives updates, with plenty of players online.
