Aloha brah I’m not Hawaiian but I just want answer like what does it mean never turn your back to the ocean mean but you know I’ve always hear people say that but don’t know exactly what it is I live in Kauai Hawaii
Aloha Mavealex Bill, it's more practical than spiritual. The ocean is often unpredictable and wave patterns can change very quickly. If you turn your back on the ocean, you may not see the big, damaging wave coming. Many people have been swept away or tossed about the rocks and waves.
When I was 8 I lived in a house off Aukoi St near Kauai High. There was poltergeist type activity there. Objects moving/flying across the room and knocking sounds. All the bars on my sister’s crib were yanked out. My parents yelled at me like I did it but once they tried to put it back together and saw how difficult it was, they knew I couldn’t have muscled that. They tied ti leaves to it and I was so mad they put my sister back in the crib that night. I once woke up and saw a ghost of man in a military uniform at the foot of my bed. He was sitting (on nothing) almost like posing for a photo. I could make out his features but he was also transparent. There was no bottom of him. I just lifted my knees until I couldn’t see him anymore and eventually fell back asleep. There was a huge hole about the size of car and about 6” deep in the yard next to the house ever since we moved in. One day we were finally able to fill it in and then all paranormal activity stopped. We moved shortly after.
Hi Uncle. I grew up in Plantation houses throughout my childhood. My dad worked Lihue Plantation. When my dad got promoted to supervisor we moved into an old Victorian house on "German Hill". Big nice house, but oh my God. So much paranormal activity.
You are truly the best storyteller. I love your stories more than any other. Thank you for sharing all these with us and opening my eyes and heart to new truths and endless possibilities. I look forward to the day I finally make it back to Hawaii as an adult. Lol, it's one of my earliest memories from age 4 and a truly magical place.
My wife and I work in the vicinity of the old sugar mill, and both of us have experienced paranormal events whilst at work. In fact, ask virtually anyone who has worked at Kukui Grove Center in the evenings or on the overnight shifts. Virtually every business there has heard strange noises in their backrooms. Mannequins fall over randomly overnight. My boss set up a hidden camera in the backroom thinking a thief was getting back there, what he saw left him so terrified, he never would tell anyone what he caught on camera!
the love and respect I have for the 'āina makes me revere the spirits, not have fear for them. hawai'i's spiritually is what makes the islands so beautiful to me, not just physical beauty. great video lopaka ❤️ stay safe, mahalo nui
Grillos! never thought about that place for years! they had a place calle egg and I down there too. and I think JJ's too maybe... I dunno its been a long time ... that was the time when the first Haole small buisness outside of the hotels were starting ... Except maybe Kay O Kauai. that one was around a long time. I remember a guy opened a mini golf and pizza place in wailua across from wailua market and a guy started a paint store in roxy theater in kapaa. this guy Horka started the grass shack restaurant in Kapaa too. Then they started popping up in every little place. Then the old places sold out to the new guys. That was around the time when pizza hut lihue was the first fast food place except DQ. They started Princeville around that time. I liked it better before. Thats why they say you can never go home.. I have been away over 40 years now.. the stuff I see makes me glad I grew up on Kauai and that I didn't have to see all that happen. I wish some youngster that knows about all this youtube stuff works could get old timers to go around telling how it was.. Eddie Montgomery's Jail where the bulk plant is, how wailua jail was. Detective Hada. Kalena Bar. Hotel 56. Pretty soon nobody that remembers all that stuff is gonna be around to tell the story. How it was down by Nawiliwili and up Huleia. How Kipu was Kapu. All that.
Our video of the Montgomery Hotel is coming up soon. They've recently closed down Kīpū falls which I think is a good thing. Too many drownings and too many bad accidents.
@@MysteriesofHawaii Cool, I'll watch for it .. I knew Eddie Montgomery well , not from the jail... but from good times at pinetree inn down behind kauai commercial yard . Back then was before the pilikia days. Just good times .
I was born and raised on during the 70's and I remember how it was back then and through 80's, I went back to Kauai to visit my parents up in the Wailua Homesteads back in 2017 & 18 and I can say it's definitely not the same Kauai as I have remembered.
Even tho born in Lihue, that did not protect me from getting hurt every time I went 2 Kipu Falls. Its a good thing that its permanently closed to the Public.
My husband lived in Kauai and was a paramedic and no's abt the leagons and has been there many times at kepu falls he has had to save many people at kepu falls including his cousin who passed away he believes in the stories because he has confronted many times things he can't explain
He he he!!! I used to eat at Magoo's pizza and Eggberts. I used to walk from Rice st to Kukui Grove at night... I used to see shadow people walking beside me... rather memories
Isn’t there Mo’o at Kapena falls, and Liliuokalani Gardens and WaimeaFalls too?wasn’t the last known menehune sighting around 1945’ish I think in Kaimuki or Kapahulu area❓Politicians are more spookier than ghost🤣🤣The politicians can scare and chase the ghost away Win-Win situations🤣
Many natural pools are homes for Mo'o beings, including Kapena and Waimea. And... "the politicians can scare and chase the ghost away" ...who's going to scare the politicians away?
Chicken skin no ho'i! 'Aue!! Always tread lightly, and maka'ala when back home!! Because in the past purials were hidden everywhere you really don't know where you could be stepping. So be respectful and be kind.
Evil Spirits are everywhere roaming around the globe due to their restlessness until The Day The Lord throws them in the frying pan, and they know this very well.
👀Another AWESOME but SPOOKY video,-LOPAKA!!!👏👏🤙⚡️
Hawaii is so beautiful but Hawaii has a deep dark past, respect the locals and the island's and never turn your back to the ocean 🤙❤🍍🌴🥥🏄♂️👀

Eeeek. I used to swim at Kipu Falls & jump off the waterfall when I was a teenager. If I knew about this, I definitely would not have gone there. Lol.
Thank you for sharing! Would ❤️ to hear about Kekaha, Waimea and Hanapepe.
We're working on it, stay tuned!
Me too! I've lived on Kauai since 2016, and I used to be in a ghost hunting club in IN.
I don't know if Hawaii loves me but I know I love it more than anything

Those were probably the Me*h addicts that live in the bushes by the old Sugar Mill site.

This place, known as Menehune fish pond has been destroyed by man. I was so upset to have seen that on my last visit to my island home 2019/2020
Dog never said anything about how haunted Hawaii is when he was on the hunt
