Good morning and Happy Adventure Thursday! We hope you all love watching this experience as much as we enjoyed living it 🤗 Such a special place… love, Mr and Mrs A
Morning you beautiful fam. I've been struggling lately with my mentality. I appreciate yall so much for these videos. They allow me to stop thinking for a short time and kinda transform into the trip with you. 🌻 Thank you!
❤️Isn’t Michigan wonderful? I grew up in SW Michigan & when I moved away as an adult, I craved the smell, the feel, and the air of Lake Michigan. Enjoy & safe travels.🥰
I’m so glad I only lived out of state for only two years and have made Michigan our home. I love being a Midwesterner and I love the four seasons. I love in the best part of Michigan NW lower peninsula
This is now one of my favorite videos on your channel. I LOVE Mackinac Island...it's such a special place. I first went there in 1992. One of my favorite movies is "Somewhere in Time", which was filmed on the island at Grand Hotel. It's too bad you couldn't get in, because it's a such a nice place. Thanks for the memories.
I’ve wanted to go to the island ever since I watched the movie “Somewhere in Time”. Such a sweet movie, parts of it filmed inside the hotel. Thank you for touring the island. I very much enjoyed your trip. I would so love to have a herd of llamas. Those sweet precious faces. 💞
Now you need to watch the movie, Somewhere in Time, with Superman himself - Christopher Reeves. Filmed at the Grand Hotel, makes it feel even more romantic. Went to Makinac Island during my childhood summers and loved it. Thanks for the memories.
What a beautiful video!! You perfectly captured the beauty. 💕Mackinac Island will always have a special place in my heart. I lived and worked up there for a summer just out of college. Most amazing memories. If you ever get a chance to stay overnight it’s so peaceful once the ferry boats take all the day visitors off the island. Early mornings were my favorite time to bike the island before anyone else arrived.
Awww. I'm a Michigander living in Louisiana for the last decade. This video brought me back to childhood summer vacations to Mackinac Island!! Thank you for jogging the memories!
The llamas peeking at you over the fence was adorable!! I think the hotel was in the movie “Somewhere in time!” What a fun adventure! Thanks for taking us along!
I love Mackinaw Island. I've only been twice. I visited once when I was a child and once as an adult in 1979. Both times we just explored around the main village part and the fort. I was with my parents, so we didn't do any hiking or biking. I really want to go again and do some hiking, Thanks for the tour.
TY for sharing this! I've watched several UA-cam channels on Mackinac Island but this was just beautiful! I never knew the water was so clear 💙 So my G aunt worked as a baker @ the Grand Hotel for over 20 year's! Love your sunglasses btw 💓 And yes the fudge is soooo delicious
What a beautiful place! It's absolutely breathtaking. Excellent job in editing this video. The music was perfect. Thank you so much for sharing this beautiful place with us. Love you guys. ❤
oh my gosh those alpacas were the cutest! I love their curiosity! Thanks for the tip about biking counterclockwise to avoid the crowds.....can't wait to visit the island myself. Hugs from Canada xo
I go to Michigan almost every year for vacation. This year--it rained the whole time on my vacation! (I may have even been there the same time you were.) But like Brittany said, so much of the country is in drought and experiencing extreme weather, it was kinda hard to complain about it. Next time you loop around Michigan, go to Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore-it is gorgeous and sooo fun!
Here is a picture from when we were there back in 2015 www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=&ved=2ahUKEwj5-LKvreXxAhUCGKwKHUzdDroQFjACegQIGRAD&url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.instagram.com%2Fp%2FBQD_z7nDpKE%2F&usg=AOvVaw0qU3G-cllZl0CWS93jbYR2
OMG! Those sweet Alpaca faces!! They gave me a huge smile! It's been 24 years since I've been on the Island. Your video gave me the bug to go back. Last time I was there I did get to eat my fudge on the front porch of the Grand. 😊
As usual, another fabulous video! I was on MACKINAW ISLAND a few years ago and I believe there were two motorized vehicles - a fire truck and an ambulance. Loved your video and the memories you brought back. Safe travels and thanks for taking us along!
the first time that I visited Mackinac Island was about 8 years ago, and just actually came back today from staying in St. Ignace for my now wife's and my honeymoon, and we visited the Island as well. It is such a wonderful place to go even in the winter even though not much happens.
Thoroughly enjoyed the video from taking a deep breath all the way to the chocolate fudge. You guys just make us feel as if we are watching America's couple. No matter what is going on with my life, after watching your videos I am always in a good mood. There is no better compliment.
I really enjoy your videos each week. They find them calm and honest. You will love the dryer balls. I have used them for the past 3 years. Together with sheet detergent, it is an eco-wash.
Your video captures the very essence of what so many crave and look for ... the Inspired Experience. Whether it's visiting the farm, exploring beautiful nature or enjoying the charm of an active vibrant city...it's the experience, the making of memories and collection of stories. lol...which always looks better in the edited version :) only that's part of the fun too. It's also the reason I am creating Tents and Events - to help others enjoy the inspired experience AND learn something valuable too. You guys might want to consider creating something similar. You're nearing the time of stopping the big adventure and starting the big building phase and honestly you two would make wonderful hosts. Setting up a Glampsite is relatively easy and affordable and finding great leaders in the areas of your passions is a matter of networking. ex. recovery from anorexia or learning how to grow your own medicine cabinet. That's the beauty of tents and events - temporary shelter AND new and changing events. You can grow into the business at the rate and pace you choose. I only do it for a hobby. Only it would make a great business model.
I absolutely love that I stumbled across your channel right as your doing your MI travels. I've lived in northern mi close to the bridge my entire life so seeing other ppl show off our beauty here makes me so happy❤☺. We truly r spoiled w the most beautiful surroundings with every season here. I'm so glad u got to visit.. Thank u so much!
What fantastic places. You all never disappoint on footage and a fun video ❤️❤️ Thanks for taking us with you on your adventures-happy trails ahead and safe travels
Those Alpacas were so stinkin' adorable!!! I am definitely adding them to the list of animals I want on my dream farm. Maybe even half a dozen...lol. Speaking of stinkin' adorable, you two are just the sweetest vanlifers that I love to watch. Thanks for bringing us along on your adventures.
When I was 5-6 yrs old we used to ride the ferry to go camping in the UP, the Mac was under construction then and was quite a sight to see. I grew up on the "sunrise" side of Michigan and still travel to Tawas whenever possible. If you ever get around Tawas area check out the lighthouse there and the Ben Franklin store. The store has been owned and operated by 3 generations of my family.
We loved it there! About 4 yrs (?) ago, we biked around the island one day, and the 2nd we walked in the inner path of the island (less crowded). Brought back find memories! ❤️
Welcome to Michigan guys! Mackinaw is such a great time! I hope you went through tunnel of trees from Traverse to the UP! If not, add it to your bucket list. If you are going further into the UP...go to Kitch-iti-kipi (but go as soon as they open; otherwise it's very busy!), Pictured Rocks, and please, please try Peterson's Fish Market on your way to Copper Harbor (It's like an oasis and feels like you are on an island!) I hope you have so much fun!
It’s a beautiful place… my mother booked a ‘Movie weekend special’ with her sister…I was to go with my aunt to my Mom’s to house-sit the animals….my aunt had a stop at the hospital for a scan… she never made it to Mackinaw. But, my Dear Aunt Lucy made it to Heaven, so I can rejoice about that!🥰😅🕊✨
This brought back memories of a trip my family took there when I was a child. We stayed at the Grand Hotel and I vaguely remember that porch. I was too young to be impressed by it though ;) I was more into the fudge!
Love those heart-sunglasses! Makes me smile and feeling good just by looking at you like that! What a great iland and town...wouldn't mind visiting them... Sending sunshine and hugs from the Netherlands!
Thank you so uch for brightening my weekend!! I grew up in Traverse City and Mackinac Island is my favorite place of all time. Welcome to the mitten. I'm in the capital city. Seeing this video brought back so many memories of going to the island with my grandparents when I was young and then taking my daughters there when they were young. We either stayed at the Mill Creek campgrounds or Wilderness State Park.
Congratulations! You pronounced Sheboygan correctly! Mackinac is a very special place! So glad you got to experience it! Now. Pop over to WI and check out our wonderful adventures!
Thank you for representing us well here in Michigan. I wouldn’t live anywhere else. I’d miss the water too much. I live in the tip of the thumb of the lower mitten. It is on Lake Huron and it is called the ?Blue Water Coast” for our bright turquoise water over here. Most people who visit Michigan go up the west coast on Lske Michigan which is beautiful, but then miss the east side completely, like turnip rock, the blue water coast, petosky stones, …..

First off Brit, your sunglasses are the bomb! I love them, they look adorable on you. Wow, that island is beautiful and so much history. I've never been back there, I need to go. I think a ebike would be the ticket for me. Lol. The fudge, was it as good as it looked Drew? Thank you so much for being the amazing eyes for us that don't get the chance. Plus, your relationship is always a bright spot for me, the smiles share the joy.
Thanks so much for sharing your wonderful videos, fudge so yummy love it,and you know who else would enjoy a slice of fudge, Trent and Allie your friends, all my love from Greece
Some of the Island horses winter at a farm near my home in the UP. I hope you continue into the UP and see it all the way from the Mighty Mac to the tip of the Keweenaw Peninsula. Half way across the UP, there is a beautiful bike trail along Lake Superior in the Marquette area.
Hi thought is was great you came to Michigan and hope you explore more here in Michigan . My kids and grandkids grew up going to Mill Creek campground . One of the best . My oldest daughter is getting married at the campground next month .

Thank you so much for being the amazing eyes for us that don't get the chance. Plus, your relationship is always a bright spot for me, the smiles share the joy.
Only Class 1 ebikes are allowed on the island, and one must have proof of disability to use it.

Some of the Island horses winter at a farm near my home in the UP. I hope you continue into the UP and see it all the way from the Mighty Mac to the tip of the Keweenaw Peninsula. Half way across the UP, there is a beautiful bike trail along Lake Superior in the Marquette area.
Delightful! 🚐✨
