- I went looking for a big camera, a really big camera. After literally searching around the world and talking with multiple ultra large format camera makers I decided that a man named Richard Ritter, a legendary figure in the photography world, would be the person to make what will likely be my final camera. Join me in Part 1 of the 'Finding Eastwood' two-part series documenting my journey from Tennessee to the green hills of Vermont to pick up my custom 11x14 view camera (Eastwood) and meet the man himself, Richard Ritter.
Part 2 has been simultaneously posted. That episode is the culmination of the over 1,200 mile journey and my meeting with Ritter. It resulted in one of the most enlightening and memorable experiences of my entire photographic life. Part 2 • A Conversation with RI...

I watched the videos out of order, but that was fine by me. Great content! I appreciate your commentary AND that you're not always talking. Those few images you took on the way to your destination were fantastic. And of course, loved the conversation with Mr. Ritter. Subscribed!
Thanks a ton for the kind words, Patrick! Glad you enjoyed it and happy to have you here.
Your Videos remind me of great blues players who know when to sing and when to let his instrument play the solo.
The more wrinkled the shirt the more humble the person, great and interesting stories and I only wished I could buy and learn the process of these beautiful instruments. Blessings!
Hahaha then I'm the most humble person on the planet! Yes, I'm currently sitting here looking at my Ritter 11x14 and still find myself in love. I'm glad you enjoyed the episode :)
Hola, could you pop the auto English captions on please chap? Thank you.
Ha old news at this point but sorry just getting around to my comments 🤣
Adam, I think we need to be friends. Two 4runner driving, analog shootin' Mfers! Great video as always ,envious of that camera!
MAN!!
I love your story-telling. It's a gentle, calming experience for the viewer, soothed by images and sounds from the long journey. Your dog, ever-present and sweet, removes any sense of danger in your odyssey, for you're well-prepared for you both. I wish you and Leia well. Oh, and a nice little side-journey to Hunter S's childhood home. Well-done.
It’s wonderful Adam. A journey to a new frontier - backseat that ULF is going to be completely different and send you off in new directions. Looking forward to the future.
Your best shirt… I have that same shirt😂
Great vid. Thanks for documenting the journey!
Always a pleasure to meet another person with a high sense of fashion.😄 Thanks a lot for the kind words! glad you enjoyed it.
I'm very lucky to live only 40 miles from Richard. Have been to his place many times. I have his 8 x 10" camera and he has done a lot of work for me over the years. First-rate service.
I very much agree. It was a great experience. I love that area by the way and hopefully will be able to revisit in the spring.
