Hi! Thank you for asking. I've been having this camera for 2.5 year. However I bought it used and I have been using it very heavily myself. I think it's a wonderful camera and I'd certainly recommend it. Best of luck to you!
I was planning on buying a second hand x-a1 but you talked me out of it. I've read so mùch about it's impressive sensor, but alas, I may have settle down with the newer x-trans sensor.
I was going to suggest you to get another x-a1 from mpb eu. But I just checked the price and it’s incredibly expensive, almost 300 Euro! After I watched one of your earlier videos on the x-a1, about two years ago, I got one from mpb uk for about £70 in quite good condition. Now the price of the x-a1 and the x-m1 are very high. Maybe you can try to get an x-a10 or x-a20 even though those don’t have a hot shoe? I find the x-a20 faster, has an electronic shutter, and the selfy option and it’s got more colour options for manual focus peaking. So I find it good for travel. It’s a bit heavier than the x-a1 though.
Hi Alberto! Indeed, I could just buy another one, but I don't actually need more cameras, I already have too many :). I bought this camera for about 60 EUR, if I remember correctly. It's surprising that the prices have gone up so much. It seems that all Fujis are becoming collector's items. Cheers!
Hi! Thanks, that's a very good point. Indeed, I checked the camera with several lenses and confirmed that the problem was independent of the lens used. Kind regards!
Sounded like my XF1's symptoms when the internal FPC is breaking but in your case changing lens changed nothing. How about cleaning those camera-lens contact pads?
Hi Tom, my guess ...it's a shutter problem..perhaps Fuji Europe in Kleve Germany can fix this..Buying another second hand ..the same problem can happen.
Hi Jan! Good to hear from you. How are you doing? Yes, it could be a shutter problem, too. Thanks for your opinion. This is certainly something to consider. Kind regards!
Hi Tom ...yesterday i was in the hospital..blood test...my doctors told me after double chemo and stemcell therapy..your blood wil never be 100%..but the test result showed my blood was back at the 100% level So i am very happy now..@@tom_photo
@@janbroekema Hi Jan! This is a great idea for a future video! There are several reasons why the red channel is different and I'll make sure to talk about it in the video. Thank you very much!
Hi, this is most probably a shutter problem. The shutter mechanism is failing and causing overexposure. As video is working fine, shutter may be the problem. If possible, you enable electronic shutter to fix this problem.
Hi! Thank you for your response. I think it can easily be a shutter problem as you suggest. Unfortunately this camera doesn't have electronic shutter. Kind regards!
How long did you have it for? I was thinking about getting this and I still might because I'm trying to go for one new in box.

Hi Gilbert! Thank you very much for watching. I think the X-A1 is a great camera still. Eventually all cameras will stop working. Kind regards!

Did you check it with multiple lenses? Such symptons are typical when the aperture blades are sticking in the lens.

Hi! Thank you for this tip. I did some cleaning but maybe I should try more. Kind regards!
@@tom_photo not contact pads but pogo pins; should try and spray some contact cleaner on it.

Ps..it is difficult to shoot red roses ..the red channel clips easy. Perhaps you can use this item on your channel ,and explain why.
