Subhan'Allah, throughout my schooling I was someone who was popular and as soon as Allah (SWT) guided me and I started practicing, I became someone unknown and lost all my friends. However, as Allah (SWT) says about changing the bad deeds into good deeds, He (SWT) replaced my bad friends with good Muslim Friends Alhumdulilah. As The Prophet (PBUH) said, “A man is upon the religion of his best friend, so let one of you look at whom he befriends.”

This came in timely I felt quite lonely some days ago and I had to tell myself what's the point of being sorrounded with people for few hours and feeling empty when you go back home and also feeling guilty and all sorts of negative emotions from the sins.I have decided to slowly desert myself from those friends mid this year and I even tho amnt at my best I do feel way more at peace with myself atleast for now the only battle I have to fight is with my nafs. Alhamdullilah

Very interesting topic. For me it feels all people in academia are just passing by in life. Occasionally I message friends but I'm generally the one or starts the convo. One practicing brother I made friends with in my degree we still speak to each other but haven't really hung out outside university. I feel girls are more in contact with each other which I need to point out for myself rather than comparing my social life with them
