There are specific conditions a person must meet if he has to qualify as a mediator in conflicts. 1. Taqwa. 2.Has strong authentic Islamic knowledge. 3. Level headed (not emotionally influenced) 4. Is able to impartially deal with the people involved.

And the signs where.the death of his neighbour(actually anyone close to him or people around him),the greying of his hair and the tilting of his back(old age).
