This is the exact reason I made these complete videos! Love falling asleep with the Quest series but the intro would usually startle me awake. Glad to be of service
I know this video is a year old and you’ve probably looked this up or had someone tell you, but I can’t help it. Don Messik was the voice of the guards from Isle of Wonder. He was a VA for a ton of Hanna Barbara cartoons. I think he was Astro from the Jetsons and was also Hampton from Tiny Toons (pretty sure he did Droopy a couple of times too for Tom and Jerry Kids). Jollo, while I don’t remember HIS actors name, is an impression of Ed Wynn, aka The Mad Hatter and Uncle Albert from Mary Poppins (the one who LOVES TO LAUGH!!).
hey there, what version is this? I would like to play this version but I can't seem to find it - the gog version is def not this one but claims its the enhanced version. Can you help?
I believe that this is the DOS/Windows version of the game that was played. The enhanced aspect being the voice acting, visuals, as well as the opening movie and ending song. I also believe that the versions available on GOG offer both versions on launching of the game having played the Kings Quest Collection on Steam previously. The launcher should give you the option of which version you’d like to play if available.
@@AvalorFreemanVOD they thanks for that. I have the Dos/Window's version but the intro is short, doesn't show the queen fully (just from the waist down) the video intro is much shorter. I'm going to look for the steam version - perhaps that's the version. I got the gog version, and also from internet archive. Thanks for confirming the steam version.
@@sincstuff this is just a compilation of another channels content, I can’t take credit for it! The channel is GameGrumps and the series was formerly called Steam Train wherein a lot of classic Sierra games were played like the Space Quest series and Kings Quest. They no longer do Steam Train but one half of the duo, Dan has played Gabriel Knight in recent years which is another delight!
It was so obvious they were getting help from a walkthrough tho'... There is no way they could have solved the Cliff puzzle without the game manual / walkthrough
@@wolfdragonhorse yeah, but they managed to get "RISE" on their "own" which is absolutely bullshit. One of them must have played the game already, because there are things you shouldn't know on a first playthrough, like which items to carry and how you can indeed soft lock your game a few times if not doing islands on a specific order, so yeah they say they were going to look at the walkthrough, but the reality is that one of them already knew the game
You are right. Even with the zebu door password it’s obvious they looked it up online. One second they had no clue the other they have the answer. Cmon guys we aren’t that stupid
This was my first king's quest game. I cannot tell you how many hours I've sunk into this thing, or how many times I've replayed it over the years
This is now one of my favorites videos on UA-cam. Have fallen asleep to these for years.

Hey Dan! What's your favorite Klingon house?
Dan: 1:15:53
Oh wow I watch the playthrough a lot but never would have guessed it was five hours long! 😂
Thank you! I was hoping someone would do this for KQ 6. One of my favourite playthroughs of theirs

Any chance you’ll do the Steam Train Leisure Suit Larry games? I like sleeping to those but the ads in between always wake me up
Leisure Suit Larry is another series I fall asleep to so rest assured it's in my to do list
@@AvalorFreemanVODi was going to ask the same thing, specially for their second playthrough! Thank you 😊
@@geegeep LSL 1 is up on the channel, I’ve been sitting on LSL6 over the festive break but I’ll get it uploaded soon!
Are we gonna talk about the pizza gate lol?
Was the kid in the water creepy to anyone else that just made you incredibly uncomfortable lol

Yes, that's why they looked it up online, as they said they did.
