Awesome clip Adrian. It made my Friday morning coffee more enjoyable. I really appreciate when you explain your setup and you do that often . It’s good for those newbies across your water to watch and learn and actually hook into something. Well done my friend. Nice reel by the way.
One of my favorite river anglers is back! Great to see you again. And you land a couple of beauty salmon! Awesome job Adrian! Thanks for sharing your setup.
I try to go during the week and not on weekends when everyone is out, that’s why there are less people. I usually catch more as well. Thanks for watching.
Been waiting for your upload! Hope you’re doing well my friend. The black woolly bugger is an excellent choice. Thanks for going over your setup. Tight lines!
I’m happy to hear, Costi. They are better if you fly fish with them but they also work by drifting them in pools or pocket water where they hold. Good luck, let me know if you get any on them.
Wow awesome action Adrian! Too bad that first one broke off (how frustrating) but you rebounded with a bunch of hookups and some nice landed salmon! I've been considering getting a centerpin setup (possibly for Erie Steelhead) and after watching this video it seems like you get a great drift and lots of strikes with your centerpin! Tight lines my friend! Captain Zac
Centrepins are ideal for rivers and streams that have current. With a spinning reel is bothersome to keep opening and closing the bail to let out line and when your float goes down, you have a lot of slack line to pick up before you set the hook and by that time the fish might be gone. Thanks for watching my friend.
Man thats too bad u lost him like that. Im usng the same rig more or less but silver beadhead. Suffix seige is one of my fav lines! Good luck out there! Fish on!🐟🎣
Thanks Bill. I’m hoping to take it out tomorrow. The lake temps have been warm right until yesterday and when it’s warm, they won’t bite the spoons. Now with the cooler weather, I’m hoping they will strike but majority of the fish have ran up the rivers and creeks. Still some kings and cohos around. I’m hoping to get at least one in the kayak before the season is over.
Great video man I really want to go do the salmon run one day in Ontario. What's stopping me is so many people and most of them staggers which is really frustrating. It's great seeing you catching them the honest way with the wooly bugger! Very unfortunate you lost that first one but you were well compensated afterwards!
Thanks so much for the kind words. I typically don’t like to fish up the rivers during salmon season just because of the people snagging and abusing the fish. I try to find a place where it’s far away from these people and fish like a fisherman ethically and try to let these fish swim away so they can finish their spawn.
Man I wish I could salmon fish your area! My area is so pressured we have no way to send a float with the amount of people, sucks but we have to floss to catch fish but we gotta get the egg quota somehow
last time I went out was the ganny surprisingly had 20 hits using a pink steelhead jig, sadly I lost all of them because the hook quality was crap even one of those was my first ever Coho
Awesome Vid!! Just to pick your brain, I see that you're running the leader weightless - Is there anything wrong with having shot on it while running the Wooly Bug? Also, how high do you have your float usually?
Thanks for the feedback. I normally don’t run shots on leader. Very rarely I do. Reason being, the leader line is usually fluorocarbon and thinner and the shots can pinch the line and cause the leader to break at that point. Second reason is, the wooly bugger has weighted bead head so it’s going to go down faster than a bead or roe bag. As far as the length goes, if it’s fast water like it was there, I tend to run double the water depth from float to fly and have most of my shots just under the float, this way I can hold back the drift and let the fly go first to the fish and float trailing. If you fish slower deeper pool, I go shorter lead.
@@truenorthangler Thanks for the feedback! Its my first season and I've been running what you mentioned, being the weights stacked under float + long weightless leader. I've landed a bunch of fish but seem to be missing a lot of hookups, which led me to think that maybe the long slack leader may be causing delayed bobber downs and hooksets. I'm also worried I might be flossing fish unintentionally. Maybe Ill test out a short leader with a single BB in the middle of the leader for some faster bait sinkage... I'm mainly fishing slow but relatively shallow stretches ~4 ft deep
@@CzedYman You definitely got to do the trial and error and see what works. I do that as well, especially if the fish don’t want to bite. I adjust and change baits to see what gets them going. Some days it works and some days they are not interested in feeding.
The legend is back very good to see you again in the water Adrian... couple of nice fish..very good start for fall fishing Adrian, well done.
Thanks Joven. Hopefully more fish now that is cooler outside. Thanks for watching.
@@truenorthangler anytime Adrian.hope i see you with your kayak fishing..
@@greatfishinglife-jovenmana9291 I will be out tomorrow early probably Ganny and Bville fishing with the kayak and some skein fishing as well

Thanks Jorden. Next video should be a banger. Got some good footage of skein munching salmon.
@@truenorthangler mmmmmm skein 🤤 lol
Congrats Adrian. A couple of beauties. Lots of action. Looked like a great day.
Thanks Jim. Hopefully I will come over to NY this fall. Maybe late October into November and do some fishing together.
@@truenorthangler that would be awesome Adrian!
Couple really nice fish Adrian. Nice to have that spot to yourself. Really pretty water rushing through there.

Good job Adrian! Landing that giants was a good and heavy fight. Welcome back.
Thanks Wynrick, hoping to get out on the east tribs next week after the rain. Maybe I will see you there.
Those Salmon are so powerful, and they thrash with all they got. I guess rocks aren't the only hazards, but rookie fishermen too, Haha.
Ha ha. For sure. Thanks for watching, Russel
Awesome video adrian! Those salmon really do put up a fight.
Thanks Anthony. Getting back out there tomorrow and trying with the kayak to get one.
Great video Adrian I haven't hit the rivers yet been fishing of my kayak cheers
Thanks man. I’ve been trying to catch a salmon out of the kayak but it’s either too warm or water is too cold. Maybe next year.
You got the whole spot to yourself. It looks like not many people fish as crazy as us here in the usa. Great content as always.
I try to go during the week and not on weekends when everyone is out, that’s why there are less people. I usually catch more as well. Thanks for watching.
Hey Adrian , good to see you getting out and landing a couple of beauties. Three hooked , two landed not a bad day at all. Take care.
Thanks Ron. It was a fun couple of hours before work. Looking forward to some cooler weather.
Been awhile my friend!!!! Fall is here and the fish are ready! Border opens Sept 30 and the Walleyes are in trouble!! Good to see you again!

Always great seeing you stop by, brotha. Hopefully with the cooldown, more fish to come.
Adrian,
I stopped today by the fishing store.
Spend 50$ on those wholly buggers !
I’ll try them next time I’m on the water!

@@truenorthangler , I’ll let you know once I’ve used them!
Adrian as always catching big fish in shallow creeks. Too bad two first ones got off. But still got some nice couple of beauties. Cool as always.
Thanks Yuriy. I don’t like fishing such low and clear water but it was time to get out and enjoy some free time. Thanks for coming along.
Nice catch bro...now I'm gonna add that wooly bugger on my arsenal...thanks for the tip man..

Suffix is great! That is a company I pro staff with. Thanks for explaining your setup bud!
Thanks AJ. That’s all I use on my reels. Love their braid 832 as well as the Seige.

Beauties! I've never tried floating wooly buggers for em

Wow, pretty low and clear at CR and at most other GTA streams these days for that matter.
Water was super low but it’s been a hot and dry summer. Now with the rains, it’s game on.
I hate it when a snagged fish tangles with my fair hooked one.
I got frustrated because my line crossed into his which he was fighting that fish for a while and didn’t know how to fight the fish.
Great video Adrian!
