Curious about the new QSC Cardioid Sub? Also known as the KS212C, this impressive yet lightweight woofer is punchy, crystal clear, and strong while avoiding negative rear spill-back of unwanted noise behind the setup.
Pairs well with K.2 and K series speakers and has effective cardioid directionality of sound.

I have, since reading this, purchased one of these and it is fantastic! I was planning on also replacing my existing KW122s with the new KW12.2s, but absolutely not necessary, with this sub. It's worth every cent!

Hi guys I have 2 questions
1 - Can this sub (QSC KS212C) and 2x K12.2 Tops fit in the back of the saloon car (VW Passat).
    2 - I have EV Evolve 50 speakers,can I use this sub (QSC KS212C) without any complications.
    Thanks

Sorry for the delay! The speakers could easily, but I'm not sure about the sub. Depends on your trunk. Since you're fitting the QSC KS212C I'd bet you could though! - Seth

Thanks, good review, one thing to mention though, it is pointless and very bad to put subs apart from each other (like each side of the stage), you WILL get phasing and it is very noticeable and impossible to mix. To hear phasing, next time you go to a venue where there are subs on each side of the stage, go and stand pretty much anywhere in the room and listen to the bass, then take two steps to the side and you will hear a drastic reduction or increase in the bass, take another two steps and it will back to before!

Interesting! Will have to look more into this phenomenon.

Cardiod subs should limit all of that though

For a compact system would you recommend qsc ks112 or 212c? For main speaker k12.2. Would these systems fit in my suv rav4?

I believe both subs are a similar size, but I recommend the cardiod variety for reasons mentioned in the video. Not sure about your vehicle size, but i think it should fit.

if i do a cardioid setup i gain sound cancellation at the back, but do i also gain sound reinforcement at the front or the volume is still the same at the front?

It’s not a cancelation. It’s a percentage of output. With this cardioid sub 70% of sound goes forward. 30% still goes backwards.
