This has been a crazy fall run in New Jersey for sure. I had to put in the time to find the fish but when I did they were biting hard. Also cooked some up with a delicious morel sauce.

Tight lines!
Awesome buddy.
Awesome stuff! 👑
Thanks Nick!!
Nice work!!
Thank you!
Yes! my fav pics of stripers are cooked ones! I always say...just like fine beef...salt n pepper THATS IT! I've cooked them many ways, but another way to prep is to poach in tomatoes n onions that have been cooked down, add butter n some white wine, add fillets, cover cook till done, serve over rice or pasta. I like a splash of half n half too...n some locatelli w/ the pasta. Thank you!
You got that right for sure! When it’s fresh there is nothing like it. Your recipe sounds great as well. Thanks for watching.
Wow damn, that might have been the best fish I've seen you cook up yet! And those potatoes wouldn't have made it to the plate if I had been there with your Dad.
Hey thanks Peter! I appreciate it a lot man. And I for sure would have had to make way more potatoes if you were there hahaha.
Sick cook, I haven’t caught many in the fall but most on top or jigging
Still plenty of time to get out there. Best of luck and thanks for watching!
Nice job on the catch and cook !!! Dig the grill veg, morel and pan sear. Francese style is a quick and easy way to go as well.
Thank you so much. I appreciate that a lot. Francese style would be delicious. I’ve done it with fluke.
The Striper fall run this year has been the best in years! Some say it was one of the best ever! 👍 🐟 🎣
100% Joel. It has been an amazing experience. Just happy to get down there and be a part of it.
@The Line Cook I wish I didn't live so far from the ocean I'd love to catch some!
@@JerseyJoel you are definitely further north then I am. But it is still over an hour drive for me to the closest beach.
It definitely makes it difficult sometimes. Worth it though!
Man that looks do good! The sear on that bass is perfect and the roasted vegetables are perfect!
Thank you so much Sean. I appreciate it a lot! I’m glad you liked the recipe!!
I hit a few head boat trips and did well. I didnt hit the beach though.
This fall run has been insane! All my good days were full of blitzing with fish after fish and big fish
It has been awesome. Glad to get in on some of it.
I don´t normally stick around to watch the cook part of videos. But I learned a lot. You really kept it interesting. Good luck with the rest of your season. I highly recommend the winter sea bass trips. It would be neat to see what you do with sea bass. Tight lines
Hey Thomas thanks so much for stopping in. I’m really glad you enjoyed it. I’ll definitely consider those sea bass trips. 👌
Awesome once again Steve! Great to see your Dad too!
Thank you so much John!! My dad was more than happy to be a part of this one too. Especially the eating 😆
Wow I am headed there this weekend. What beach were you on. What was the best lure that day
Good luck! Hopefully we still have some good fishing left to come.
That day I caught most of them on a Bone SP Minnow. This was taken on a more northern beach. But I’d recommend heading south if you go this weekend.
Another great looking catch and cook. You definitely take the cooking part to another level, man.
Thank you so much John. I appreciate it a lot as always! Congrats to you on the 1K well deserved!!
What fun that looked like an ESPN fishing program.
Thanks Uncle Richie! This was a trip to remember for sure!
Just subscribed. Enjoyed the cooking part as well.
Thank you so much for watching, glad you liked it!
Excellent catches brotha keep it up
Thanks so much Mike 🤙 tight lines man 🎣
That looks fantastic...I'll be cooking some striper that way this week! Side note...I'm having a Christmas brunch at my house, would potatoes cooked that way be good for breakfast with eggs or would you do them differently?
Thank you I appreciate that a lot. I think these potatoes could definitely double for breakfast. Maybe add a peeper or onion to it as well.
@@thelinecook Thank you pal...have a wonderful holiday!
@@InTheFlow66 You as well!
that was a crazy fish!!!!
Thanks Carter!! It paid off!
Glad to see you got in on some of this amazing action! Hopefully it continues through December!
I had to keep a bass this past week as well as it choked on my pencil and the siwash hook got caught in its gills. My fillet skills are lacking to say the least but did notice that huge blood line near the skin. I have seen others fillet stripped bass and are able to leave that blood line on the skin. I guess that’s just practice because after I was able to skin the fillet I had to cut that blood line out.
Anyway great video as always!
Thanks for posting
Scott
Hey Scott thanks so much! I appreciate that a lot! It has been amazing. I am really happy to be able to be a part of it. You definitely have to trim that bloodline out. It also helps to properly bleed the fish but on the beach it’s not that easy! Thanks for watching and I hope you get in on some more of the run. 👌
What jacket are you wearing? Warm?
The jacket I’m wearing is a Huk Grand Banks shell. It’s more for being waterproof. I wear lots of layers underneath. 👍
where is that
All over the Jersey shore. From seaside/ island beach to up north. 👍
