I miss Jersey trout fishing, good old days with my dad and the the orange pit, in Hackettown on the musky, dad like penwell the old wood falls, now everyone has passed on, I still come to Jersey for 2 weeks to fish, than I fish NC, TN. In June I fly fish black river

Thank you so much for watching! I really appreciate the comment. It’s hard to tell in the video but with floating fly line, if I see any movement out of the ordinary I set the hook. Most of the time if the water is calm you can see the bite. 👍

Good catch. Curious as to where you were. I fish the Big Flatbrook which is catch and release so I get the catch but not the cook. Have to leave the trout alone now that it's gotten hot. Have to wait until fall to go after them again.
Thank you I hear you. I fish at a lot of the major streams in NJ. I’ve heard very good things about the big Flatbrook. I’ve never went to Fish it. The rivers I target or more in central NJ. Thank you for watching!
I wana learn Fly fishing, i fish mostly salt. Do you think starting with freshwater would be a good idea?
I think you can start anywhere! I started freshwater and am going to try this year in the salt for the first time. Try it for whatever you like to fish for most! Best of luck out there 👌

Are the majority of those fish stocked?
Yes most are stocked during the spring trout stocking here in NJ. Some are holdovers from last year and a small percent Wild depending where you are. 👍
