I don’t think those city folk truly understands how deadly bull riding is. And just how much of a badass these guys are. And there are some riders at time we all thought they rode their last. It’s a sport of inches for sure.

JB your younger then my brother and he passed. My parents said they went to PBR to watch you and when it came to meeting you. You cold shouldered them. Went to my niece and took a pic with her because she was younger? Idk. But my parents remember you from when you were young and watching you bull ride. They were your big supporters and let me say my parents when my brother use to bull ride they always supported other bull riders with entry fees and when my brother would win he was so kind to hang out and buy his “so called friends food and pay for the fair for them”
JB would have won more world championships if he hadn’t picked the absolute best bulls every single time. A lot of guys don’t dare to pick the unridden bulls if they can win the go round on a bull they know really well and that always turns into their hand but JB absolutely always picked the rankest of the bulls and eventually rode all the bulls he picked even if it took a few tries. Stock contractors with super star unridden bulls loved it when JB picked their bull because if he got bucked off that was ok it was JB but if he rode it he would go 90-95+ and that was great for business as well. JB is in my humble opinion The Greatest of all time! Thanks for all the great rides and being a truly tuff man that’s all cowboy all the time.

What a like about JB is he always wore a cowboy hat when he was riding. When I was a young lad, I went to rodeos with my parents. My hero was Jim Shoulders. I wanted to be a bronc rider just like him.
I remember living in TX and my son was 3 and wanted to ride the sheep. 3 was too young, he had to wait. Finally he was 4 or 5 and old enough to ride. He really wanted to be a cowboy. First ride he got thrown and cried out of embarrassment! He ended up being a US Marine!
Lol coaches don't need to be able to physically still do the sports they coach, they just need to have a great wealth of knowledge and understanding about the given sport... and the GOAT JB certainly has a ton of knowledge and experience to pass on to young riders.
But riders from all over the world (Brazil,Australia,Canada) also ride in the pbr so the events don’t internationally stretch but the contestants do, so yes world champion
I mean he’s a world champion the same way that the mlb has the World Series. Sure mlb doesn’t compete in the Dominican. But the best the Dominican has to offer comes to play in the mlb. The same way that the best bull riders Brazil has to offer come to ride in the PBR. Yes it’s based in America, but it is a competition of the best riders in the world so he is absolutely a world champion.
@@BaileyMagikz it doesn’t matter the pbr would accept any nationality to participate but they just don’t. The pbr holds international qualifications for riders so yes WORLD champion. It just happens that most riders do originate from the western hemisphere but people from other countries just don’t want too join. Most non-nitpicky gatekeepers would say if competitors span across 3 continents already that’s good enough to call international anyway
It’s a hit outside of the typical people who enjoy rodeo even when it’s not popular like it seems to be at the time. My family has always been in the cattle business and I guess naturally enjoyed rodeo and the western lifestyle even in the southeast kinda far away from the traditional world of the western lifestyle.
