Years ago, late at night I ran into J. B. at a convenience store after he had competed at an event at the Molalla Buckaroo in Oregon. He was all banged up, sweating and in obvious pain, and there he was at the counter, paying for a big-ass bottle of aspirin! I said to him, "You all right there, buddy?" to which he replied "Livin' the dream." That memory has always stuck with me.
@@teerevevourdeminingo4274 I TOTALLY AGREE with you. A remake would be so hot, as I have seen the original about 50 times. I would to see him dance in it, too!
I was raised in a rodeo family. . . My dad was a cowboy through & through. . .all around. . .bulls, bareback, saddlebronc, doggin, & roping; but that was back in the 50's when cowboys were all arounds. He was the best horseman I ever knew. He could break a horse like no other & only had thoroughbreds. He was an old school cowboy. . .they broke the mold when he was born. He didn't even have ahigh school education, but built 6 nice homes. He was a logger & a cattleman. But most of all the best cowboy I ever knew. He never rode a saddle in his later years, only bareback. Used a stock whip or bull whip to gather his longhorns & never wore spurs (he said spurs were only made for bucking stock). He taught us to use a quirt. . .not spurs. . . He was a great man. . .my dad. . .Billy Schall
Your dad is one of those guys they write amazing country songs about that guys like me can listen to and only dream of how amazing it just feel to be such a badass. A real cowboy
"I know when I get old I'll be as crippled as hell. But I'm willing to sacrifice that to be number one". I've had two discs replaced in my back. Surgeries to both knees. Broken ankle with two steel plates and sixteen screws holding it all together. Ribs cracked and broken numerous times. Been layed out unconscious with my face straight down in the shit and dirt. Fingers dislocated or broke to many times to count. All when we did it for a silver buckle and change. I'm sixty years old now and can't even sit in the saddle on my horse. But I know why you do it so I respect that. Being number one sometimes costs to much. I never got there but most of us don't. But we ride anyway. " Let er buck ".
You guys are braver than me. I broke my back playing high school football. The doctor said I could play again when I got better. Nope. Never wanted to be hurt like that again. I’m 60 years old today and still have back trouble from that injury 45 years ago.
Very stupid thing to do.. Like WHY. Even as a Texan, I'm shaking my head like.. You'd break ALL those damn bones, cost a FORTUNE in medical bills, that could have gone to your wife or KIDS instead of the Dr's. All for a stupid BELT BUCKLE? An aluminum trophy that's stamped out the same by the millions every day and can be picked up for $19.95 (plus tax)? 😂 All that body beating, just for a PERSONALIZED plaq with your name on it.. 😂 👌
I was a P.R.C.A. bull rider in the 80s. I'm now 58, I hurt everyday. I was not on the level this young man is, but for a couple of years I was going and blowing pretty hard. Back then pain was like rain, you just dealt with it. I never have liked those pain pills; dulled your senses to much made you sluggish and slow. The pain let me know I was alive. I wore a mouth guard to protect my grinners, that was it. No protective vests, dang sure no helmets back then; we were hands, we never would consider such a thing. I'm still tougher than woodpecker lips, but I'm a whole lot slower. I was 29 when I got on my last bull, it was hard to walk away from. Bull riding isn't something you do its what you are, it's who you are. After my 2nd shoulder surgery looking at a 3rd not twisting to many toros at that point, I called it. I miss the lifestyle every day.
@@kathymorgan4233 I knew him just a little by running into him at rodeos around the country. He was a different kind of champion, he always had time for those starting out. I'm sure he didn't know me by name, but everytime I saw him he recognized me and visited with me. I'm not aware of him getting on Bodacious it certainly may have been a possibility I think. Lane did do a thing they called the Challenge of Champions where they paired him up with the bucking bull Red Rock owned by John Growney. That was a pretty cool promotional deal, they had a booth set up at the trade show during the NFR to promote it. There was the only time I'd met his wife Kellie, she was a sweetheart. Some friends of mine had some property near Las Vegas that rode, they kept Red Rock at their place when he wasn't at the trade show. Red Rock was cool, he was like a pet until he was in that chute.
Ya, I've seen similar exercise apparatus for surfing. If you gave JB a surfboard. Trust me he'd kill it way faster than normal. He'd have to bring up his swim game though, I'm gonna guess he ain't a swimmer out there in cow country. Might need to put on a bit of meat so as not to get beaten the snot of when the wave churn you all up. But ya he could probably go pro given the right circumstances, surfing. I reckon.
This is a real life cowboy. Perfect ambassador for the sport. I love this guys style and attitude. Great guy. Also fly weight at 140 soaking wet. Just a little guy with HUGE heart and soul. His passion is enormous. Body size means nothing . Bull riders are tough guys who take a beating and get back on and take another beating. Only a few men have this ability to handle pain and injury the way a bullrider does .. I am a new fan of this sport. This man is amazing.

I met him once in a local diner. I had just found out who he was just before I was introduced to him. Obviously I am nobody...but he was so humble...I have nothing but respect for MEN like this!
Yes, it is. it’s the rider’s fault for traumatizing bulls and then forcefully riding them after they’ve electrically shocked them and tightened a rope around their waist, which is the cause for them kicking upwards. They want the rope, along with the disgrace of a human being that is the rider, OFF. They’re not hostile, or “wild” like they want their audience to think, they’re just reacting to the pain those “cowboys” are knowingly causing them.
"I was the kid with the try when the other guys had the talent." That statement hit me hard. That’s the statement of my life! Thank you JB sir. Semper Fi !!

I never question the first person who thought it would be a good idea to get on a bull and ride it. I always questioned the 2nd person who decided to do it next lol
Why would you question the second person you just saw it can be done.. It would make more sense to question the mental faculties of the first person to do it. JB lives 30 seconds down the road from me in the log cabin my childhood friend owned before his family sold it to JB. Watching him ride horses through his land and interviews inside the house brought back some good childhood memories out there.

Yes. You either get it or you don't. I will never understand people who just exist in a mediocre version of life. Some of us are driven, that's the best I can say it, to live life to the fullest, damn the consequences.
JB is an impressive human being. He reminds me of star athletes in other sports who come from humble beginnings and always trained in natural environments. Like star running backs who chased rabbits in the fields of the south, or expert hitters who played pick up ball in the streets of the dominican republic. like he said, he'd rather be a cowboy than a bullrider anyday. It sounds corny, but I know from being raised around team ropers and semi professional cowboys, it's the cowboy way. They live life large, they work harder having fun than most will ever work for a living, Nothing like sitting around old cowboys listening to their stories.
The part where he says he was the kid with the "try" when others had the talent simply nails it on the head perfectly. So many people are unwilling to work hard enough to accomplish great things.
Stopped at this video only because it said he was the best of all time, and you can always learn something from someone who is the best at something. What a guy, and everybody who knows him admires him. Simple, straightforward, never give up, never complain, love what you do, live in the moment. Great American. Great man.
You should watch it man. Those guys are tough as nails and have balls as big as basketballs to get on those bulls. Its truly amazing to watch the greats like JB ride.
JB is by far my favorite bull rider of all time. In a day when it seems like most bull riders are athletes first, and try to make calculated decisions, JB is still all cowboy and loves to get on the most rank bulls even if it means he gets slammed.
fritzki1 i never watched it either, but like u said JB is cool as a cucumber! Dude is a bad ass! I wish I was half as cool as him! He probably has women throwing vagina at him everywhere he goes! Of course he smokes marlboros too. The cowboy killers! His balls must be the size of grapefruits. Dude is just cool on a level never seen before
I always notice that these super tough cool guys always have this super calm demeanor about them like they're exactly where they want and need to be in life. I'd like to have that.
It's referred to as having balls and knowing who you are as a man. Not gonna lie i struggle with that and im sure you wont accept that reading it from me
All kind of people have it. It's always there. You don't learn or aquire it. Some of us can handle some serious business. Most of you can't. Hence.....we live in the world we live in.
I rode bulls back in the late 70s into the mid 80s. I was a pretty good bull rider for high school and open rodeos. Never went pro, but I can testify that there is no greater rush than tying onto a bull and nodding your head! You have no idea what’s going to happen next. I’ve recently started watching rodeos and PBR again and I will tell you that this guy JB Mauney is a man I’d love to meet. He’s a true “COWBOY” and possibly the best bull rider I’ve ever seen! My hats off to you JB. You seem to have life figured out and I can’t believe some of the bulls you’ve ridden. You’re a hell of a hand and all around good man. You’ve inspired my heart. I salute you and your life inspirations. Best of luck in life.
@Hansy Man these bulls are taken care of, probably the only animals where they're allowed to kill guys and still do what they do because it's expected. Sure they get ridden but they're respected for their power, that's the whole reason it's a thing in the first place.
@@deadsi they do file the horns. Otherwise there would be 10x more deaths in bull riding. These bucking bulls are absolutely massive. Like the bullfighting bulls in say Spain have the sharp horns but they're quite a bit smaller than these bulls. If these savages had sharp horns it'd be game over.
Bull riders are a special kind of crazy. I went to the same high school as Larry Mahan a little more than 20 years later. I especially remember the (near retirement) guidance counselor who told us the story about how she kept trying to steer him into a trade or college after he made it clear that he wanted to be a cowboy... After he became world champion, it caused her to rethink the advice she gave students... "Follow your passion... be good at something you love to do."
Depends. A kid can be all full of passion and just not be very predisposed to be any good. I'm an NFL QB at heart, but I make my daily bread teaching calculus. Sometimes the best you can do is find a decent living doing something you don't hate. My advice to young people is to explore as many options as possible, and don't get buffaloed into going to college or NOT going to college. Find your own way. Stay out of debt. Nothing wrong with taking a year or two to learn a trade. That can be the foundation for the education you may want, later, or your daily bread while you try to start your own business.
Anyone that’s worked on a property aka farm/ ranch knows you don’t need to go to the gym. Wake up at 5am and finish at 5pm. Well jobs never finished. Farmers strength! 💪🏾
Comrade Pagang it’s because besides working there’s nothing else to do besides drinking and fucking. 😂 But I’m talking about farmers strength. you don’t have to built like a truck. Aha
I'm a rancher now full time after 40+ yrs welding and fabricating. I don't need the gym, this place works me from sun up to sun down....... and I wouldn't trade it back!
Ehh..... I do commercial roofing. Sometimes from like 6AM to 8PM in extreme circumstances. I definitely still lift weights n shit lol. Manual labor like farming or construction does NOT make you a beast. It may make you ‘not a weak ass pussy’ but I can say first hand that manual labor will NOT get you strong. Stronger than your average cubicle farm worker for sure, but, shoveling and throwing around heavy steel will NOT make you a beast. It merely makes you not a pussy. If you have any semblance of physical training/weight lifting under your belt it does nothing for you. I would def know
For anyone who has never been to a rodeo I strongly recommend you go. And buy some pit passes so you can walk through the barn where these bulls stay in between rounds. The absolute size and power of these animals is crazy. And when they see the gate open on their stall they know what’s coming next. You can actually see them get ramped up and ready for this rider. When they leave the arena the more experienced bulls go right back to their stalls without any directions and pass in circles watching waiting for the next rider. It’s insane to witness.
Real cowboys and the originalls are and still from Mexico and from Mexican culture. "The Best bull rider of all time", just for the US. That doesn't mean that is the best of the world, there are have been thousands of good bullriders that doesn't make it on TV or media in Mexico (were this sport was born) even less into the US, the only contribution of the Americans to the cowboys and rodeo is to make it something of a show and more of a sport, but pretty sure there are better bullriders. But like always Muricans like to whitewash and blackwash everything as long as your country looks like the top on something
@@slimbrady6691 thanks Karen, but I prefer baseball 😉😂 If people from your country invited the famous mexicans that do rodeo you will be left in shame... Not only the ones that have money or aome sponsors but the real people from villages (were this sport was born) you would get yar ass kicked pal
@@baddas380 What do you mean "Americans made it into a show and more of a sport"? Why were the "original cowboys" riding bull then if not for show and sport? Its funny how salty people get when America does something better than the ones who created it.

20 years ago my friend Nels Bloom jr passed away from a broken neck after getting bucked off a bull. He was a real cowboy, a father and husband. JB reminds me very much of him. The last of a dying breed.

@5:05 onward when he explains the passion he has for the sport...speaks volumes to me. The grit and determination he has for PBR is truly inspirational. I've always been fascinated with PBR but this....this is a close look at what these guys walk into every time they give the nod. Thank you J.B Mauney for being the best there is.
This is so awesome to see! Congrats on such an amazing accomplishment J.B.! I grew up in Mooresville, and J.B and I were actually in the same math class at LNHS. He would come walking into class every now and then with new battle scars he won from the rodeo. One time I remember he was on crutches for weeks! But, you know.. He seems to be the same sweet guy that I remember from high school. It's such an honorable thing to know what kind of title he holds, but the fame hasn't changed him! Again, congratulations J.B! I know you earned it!
@Zackery Kutcher ,because we like him. Lol. I know there's been alot of legends. For me personally, JB was a rookie when I started watching and had a tendency to draw some of the toughest bulls.
Yup. A culture must be retarded to do this for entertainment. He'd be a better father if he didn't needlessly risk becoming dead or paraplegic because he wants to be a "cowboy".
Jb, you inspire me to take those scars and bruises. To not take the easy way out. To dig deep and be strong despite my fear. I only hope when my day comes, I can have heart like you. You inspire a lot of young men like myself to push through the pain. Thank you for sharing some of your story with the world.
He's faces an incredible balancing act...not just on the basketball--which is truly jaw-dropping, but also the one coming home in one piece to his daughter...that may be an even harder
Amazed, at how skillful one needs to be, to be able to ride those beasts. I thought it was jump on and hope for the best. But man, blown away with this video, from New Zealand, that was an eye opener, thanks for the education.
I know, I hate when I am taking about riding bulls, and some uneducated person is like “that’s easy”. Yah, you try jumping on a beast ten times your size!
I went to the local rodeo here in Sweetwater Tennessee last weekend and nobody lasted even 3 seconds on a bull but we all had a great time. True American spirit still alive and well at the rodeo. J B is an amazing young man with all the heart of a champion.
I took my cousin out to Tombstone, Arizona. We went to see the OK coral and Boot hill, Had Margauritas in Watt Earps Oriental Palace saloon. But the big thing was they just happened to have a Bull Riding event there, we had great seats, My cousin had never seen a live rodeo event. I also bought a Larry Mahan signature cowboy had there.
The best rodeos are new riders on rank bulls, they almost never ride, but you get to see the hurdles that turn boys into champions. Besides once you get to know the biggest rankest bulls, you start to admire them as athletes as well.
Reading these comments about someone being the best at what they did remind me of what i think is the baddest dude thats walked his name is John Brzenk.. you have to be intrigued enough to..
Clint Eastwood is an actor!!! You CANNOT act the HEART, GUTS, and TRY that this fellow Cowboy LIVES!! Clint Eastwood is a JOKE ALL WAYS HAS ALWAYS WILL!! This guy has amazing work ethics and mindset of working hard all the time. He watches his own videos in slomo even if he has had a good ride. No wonder he is the best. But people think he is a gifted freak. That’s the story of every number one in every field. People tend overlook the hard work they put in
I am amazed how he stays very relaxed. I took ballet, and tensing some parts of your body while being fluid in other parts is not that easy. If you watch people doing something called interpretive dance, you will see them using fluid movements where nothing is forced. They just become part of the motion. He does that too, but still hangs onto a huge jumping beast at the same time. It is pretty amazing.
Yeah it's the story of every pro according to most amateurs. You rarely if ever see pros say anything of the sort. Or people that ACTUALLY participate in any way. The amount of morons I've seen say stupid shit about just being tall about basketball players is ridiculous. As if it's a free ticket to the NBA. They've never watched someone like Chris Mullin practice shooting for 12 hours straight after everyone else left practice. Or Dennis Rodman watch video of players shooting and missing and literally counting the rotations and noting where the ball initially hit first...but people still think he was somehow inherently good at rebounding. Anyone REALLY good at something will tell you they're also REALLY good at practicing
I like how everyone is saying he is a natural and this may be true but he tells you how much time he puts into his craft. He is also a cowboy, it's his version of cross training.
lol you have heard of god given talent, He does work hard, and he does deserve it, but you could put 100 people working out with him and just as hard, and you would be lucky to get 1 of the 99 to make 8 seconds on the back of any bull, he picks the baddest. God gave him grit balance and determination. And he has good velcro on the ass of his jeans.;
Dad, cowboy, horse rider, bull rider. Humble, focussed, trier, worker. Seems like the kind of man that should be being held up as a role model, he’s proper.
I love this little mini doc! I watch it all the time. What a great role model for young men. Teaching them how to be the alpha and the provider, a good dad, no quit just always shoot for better! We need men like JB in a country that still considers you a kid until you’re 30. The perfect amount of teaching how to become a man or woman, but maintaining some sensitivity when appropriate such as being a single dad and raising a girl. I know first hand the challenges that puts forth and I commend JB for that! #keepit93 #punchupcowboy
Saw his record 16th consecutive ride from atop the chutes. Great rider and even better competitor. He is the only rider to have bigger balls than the bull.
I envy you sir, I used to sit atop the chutes and turn the steres out for my dad and the other team ropers, I am so grateful for that period in my life. And then it was my time to start team roping, hell ya let the fun begin.
I started watching PBR when I went to Houston to take care of my ailing dad. That was his thing. He had been a cowboy in his younger days. Loved all parts of rodeoing. That's when J B Mauney came on the scene. I loved him from the first time I saw him ride. There are some other favorites too but none like JB...I also loved the bull Bodacious. That was one big, huge muscled up bull. Loved him too.

Israel Did 9/11 thats sad to see someone know nothing about pitbulls. As a person that has had pitbulls for a long time in her life i can tell you the motherfuckers are sweet as hell until provoked. Sadly its not the dogs fault if they killed a child, its the parents fault for not taking care of the child correctly. And children are naughty as hell too and could possibly hit dogs or pull their tails because they don’t know any better, and the dog will always react no matter what the breed is. Now, if its an american pitbull terrier i can tell you that your child is dead. Ive had apbts my whole life and i can tell you that they don’t play around. Born and bred to be fighting dogs they remain fighting dogs till this day. No nanny dog shit no sweetie shit. But if you know your dog and know how to control your dog you wont have any single problem. I have a niece and she plays with my apbts (with my supervision of course.) and none has ever bit her or growled at her. Its not the breed, its the fucking irresponsible owners that dont know about the responsibility they have when they get a pitbull, especially an apbt.
Israel Did 9/11 nah its not that i “love them that much” i know enough about the breed to tell you they dont just attack out of the blue. Pitbulls were never meant to be family dogs and they arent, they’re fighting dogs. Working dogs. They’re meant to work not to be family dogs. Its sad that you have that mindset. A pitbull just doesn’t snap out of the blue, it has to be provoked. Rip to your cat, they do have amazing prey drive thats why i said they’re meant to be working dogs, hunting. They like to fight, blood. I don’t recommend a pitbull to a first time dog owner or a person with children if they don’t know he breed enough and how to control a dog.
Israel Did 9/11 pitbulls are amazing catchdogs as they were bred to bite and hold and to not let go. You cant compare a pitbull to a lion.... thats crazy. A lion is a wild animals and a pitbull is not. Pitbulls were not really bred to be human aggressive and most of them arent until provoked, but they are dog aggressive, most of em. You must learn to control a pitbull before having one. They’ll become an amazing companion. Glad your cat is not dead.

"Follow your passion... be good at something you love to do."
right on

When they leave the arena the more experienced bulls go right back to their stalls without any directions and pass in circles watching waiting for the next rider. It’s insane to witness.

Carpenter definitely found a couple studs
what an awesome cowboy, ive been into my western movies lately and didnt think there were still true cowboys in america. very refreshing to see
Definitely are, and we're better for it.
More cowboys than you think
Leave the city in most of the western states. There's alot left out here
This is probably the best Monster Energy sponsoring i have ever seen
Jb, you inspire me to take those scars and bruises. To not take the easy way out. To dig deep and be strong despite my fear. I only hope when my day comes, I can have heart like you. You inspire a lot of young men like myself to push through the pain. Thank you for sharing some of your story with the world.

Howdy neighbor I’m up Knoxville
Aye! I'm from Athens. Gotta love those $10 rodeos.
You’re one tough hombre! Thanks for all your heart and fire for bull riding. 🙏
One of my favorites! I’ve watched this several times and it’s always inspiring. J.B. Mauney is an example of what it takes to be the best.
Reading these comments about someone being the best at what they did remind me of what i think is the baddest dude thats walked his name is John Brzenk.. you have to be intrigued enough to..
He kinda looked like a young Clint Eastwood in the thumbnail so I knew he was a badass
200th liker
You must be blind. Or you see a skinny white guy in a cowboy hat and they all look like Eastwood.
Clint Eastwood is an actor!!! You CANNOT act the HEART, GUTS, and TRY that this fellow Cowboy LIVES!! Clint Eastwood is a JOKE ALL WAYS HAS ALWAYS WILL!! And YES if the definition of badass was in the dictionary then J.B. Mauney’s picture would be out to the side of it... along with the definitions of Cowboy, bull rider, grit, and all around Damn Good Guy!
I thought he looked like Tom Cruise from the side.
I think this dude and Donald Cerrone are long lost brothers
Willing to bet they've had a few beers together.

Do you spend night and day thinking about Trump?
"You set a trap for a bull, you'll get caught in it every time"... Big life lesson in that statement.
that's a beautiful thing watching a real man and his child, the love and respect they share.
I've watched this video many times, never gets old
This guy has amazing work ethics and mindset of working hard all the time. He watches his own videos in slomo even if he has had a good ride. No wonder he is the best. But people think he is a gifted freak. That’s the story of every number one in every field. People tend overlook the hard work they put in
In bull riding you have to watch the playback , just like football.
exactly
The best at their profession/trade/skill/art always do.
Always come back to this,, 100% TRUE cowboy ,, ride hard or die,, Tks for what u stand for JB ,, God Bless you and your family ❤,, so many memories
I’m an arab guy and this feels pure American thing more than anything else.
And basketball started in Canada.
@Sticky Glizzy at least someone said it
@Sticky Glizzy nah this Spaniard thing dumbass
@Sticky Glizzy Can you please not with that "go off" garbage.
@Sticky Glizzy and Americans made it popular so who cares
I like how everyone is saying he is a natural and this may be true but he tells you how much time he puts into his craft. He is also a cowboy, it's his version of cross training.
lol you have heard of god given talent, He does work hard, and he does deserve it, but you could put 100 people working out with him and just as hard, and you would be lucky to get 1 of the 99 to make 8 seconds on the back of any bull, he picks the baddest. God gave him grit balance and determination. And he has good velcro on the ass of his jeans.;
No commitment, no success! What a guy ! Thanks a bunch!
He’s probably standing on the ball rn in quarantine
Lmao 🤣
He didnt quarantine shit, he did everything he always did on his land.
Cowboys don’t quarantine. I don’t know a single one of my buddies who’s actually scared
@@peytonschaefer7479 not many people are actually scared. Most people are only scared for their elderly/suck neighbors/families.
He seems like such a good father to his daughter ♥
P0GFLIPPER not so much. That little girl should have a helmet when in. Four wheeler.
stfu donnie youre a fucking moron
His time with his daughter might be the last time he see's her. Bull riding is dangerous and he rides the bulls that are truly scary as hell.
Blu Cifer we grew up with out wearing helmets it was the next puss generation that started that shit and safe places
@@crystalmoore4520 Exactly, it's shocking that anyone in my family survived childhood (grew up on a farm riding anything with a motor) because according to these sad people nowadays everyrhing is so fucking dangerous other than sitting on the couch staring at a screen. My kids friends come out to the farm and they're in heaven when they realize the possibilities are endless and they can build/break/ride/paddle anything they want at any time.
My boss was an ex-rider, he rode "bucking Bronc's" as he use to say. Unfortunately, he became paralyzed because of it. He was a quadriplegic and I would help him with computer tasks, emails and online sales. He was one of the toughest old guys I've ever met, and I don't think I've ever met someone as confident and tough as him, not to mention he was a natural comedic genius haha.. He taught me a lot about business and life in general. One day I asked him if he could teach me the ropes, and that I wanted to become a bull rider. He just looked at me and didn't say anything, lol
Beautifully constructed video. Great color and imagery. Very nice.
My dad ,and I used to watch bull riding On ABC sports Sunday, it's the OG of X games!!
True example of American ruggedness and tenacity.
I love how his daughter gunned it when he said he likes to go fast
Fucking irresponsible to let her ride without any protective gear or at least a helmet. Not a great dad!

This cowboy takes it to a whole new level.

Still look up to them even though I'm much older now
With this fellow, you can see the fired up character that he has for bull riding. very passionate to win it all. Mr. Mauney you sir are the real Deal.

@Dan Bate Aw, is the little Trumptard snowflake basement dweller talking to himself again on the Internet? Did you enjoy the midterms, manchild? We own you.
