  • This is one of a series of videos covering the full dismantling, restoration and rebuild of a Norton Commando engine and gearbox. This particular video shows the outer engine cases after they have been machine polished, and the inner cases (crankcases etc) after they have been vapour blasted - and don't they look spectacular!

    That polishing is amazing, you have found a good polisher there. The vapour blasting is good too. Nice job.

      Prestige plating in Mexborough for chrome plating and metal polishing. A long lead time though for good reason.

    Highly polished aluminum is a beautiful thing. The primary cover inspection caps have never been messed up by somebody trying to use an improper tool on them. Even if the factory tool is not available the rounded end of an adjustable crescent wrench will work.
