  • In this video I continue to show my process for completing the design of the battery relocation for the Toyota Corolla Ke70 Drift Car build. The mounting board for the boot is almost complete and now its time to start adding pickup points for both the boot and the battery mount.
The dial gauge also arrived in the mail for the KE25 turbo project, and I've finalised the design for the custom 3D printed Cam Degree wheel (or Cam Timing wheel). I just need to print up an adapter for the mag base to mount the dial gauge and it'll be time to see what the issue was with the custom cam!
As I mention in the video, this is sort of a combination of approaches to the same problem - I'm trying to keep majority of the tools I use to things that are practical or "accessible" to most people. You can also see some of the issues arise with designing things on the fly as opposed to really thinking things through.
That said - if I was to do that, it'd still be sitting there as another unstarted project - so at least we're getting somewhere!
I would also very much like to 3D print some jigs for the router instead of the way I approached it in this video, but as I said: Next time.
Let me know what you think! ✌
