I like the Envista. But my budget dictated a Trax which we both really like and are completely satisfied with.

Starting price for a Toyota Corolla is $22,050 while the Buick Envista starts at $22,400. With a 2.0 L 4-cylinder engine the Corolla LE, XLE, and XSE models have a 0-60 time of 7.8 seconds. The Envista does 0-6o with its turbocharged 1.2-liter *three*-cylinder in 9.0-9.4 seconds. There is absolutely nothing about the Buick that pulls me away from the quality and engineering of Toyota. They would have to lop off at least $5,ooo for me to even consider taking a chance with them. Not to mention you can get into a Camry for $27k. A 3 cyl. turbocharged 1.2 liter engine made in Mexico or a 2.0 liter 4 cyl. Toyota that produced more power without the turbo... it is an easy choice for me. But I have to be honest, you could offer me the Envista for $18,000 and I'd still buy a Corolla $22,000. So short answer to the video's title from me? Hard NO. A confident and emphatic no.

Yes! How could anyone choose a 3 cylinder buick over a 4 cylinder Toyota? Especially when the Corolla's base price is actually less than the Envista. The real question is... with a Corolla's base price at $22,050. How low would Buick have to go before you'd consider buying the Envista over the Buick? If you dropped the price by $5,000 and gave me a budget of $18,000... I'd be more inclined to go find a used Corolla or Camry then a new Buick of any flavor.
