Yeah man it has to be one of the top 5 metal albums.
The fact that Dave Mustaine sings these songs while playing these riffs (and some solos too) is absolutely mind-blowing!
But they've never played Five Magics live with the RIP Lineup.
He is a terrible vocalist tho. Can't believe after all these years he haven't gotten someone that actually can sing

The guitarists are Dave Mustaine and Marty Friedman. Dave was the original lead guitarist for Metallica.

Marty was in a band with Jason Becker, the guitarist who has had ALS for over 30 years. It was called Cacophony and they remain great friends. There is an amazing documentary about Jason called "Not Dead Yet"! Jason is an amazingly versatile musician and songwriter.

Marty is such a legend. His solos are freaking out of this world.

Dave Mustaine was originally in Metallica. I sometimes wonder what would be if they hadn't separated. As it is, we ended up with two of the most iconic heavy metal bands of all time

The genre is called Thrash Metal. Which is fast metal. Megadeth is one of the greatest metal bands in history. If you want to see a great live performance from Megadeth that show cases their talents I recommend Megadeth- she wolf rude awakening live 2001. That is an epic live performance. Make sure it’s the Rude Awakening live version not the studio version. 🤘🏼🤘🏼
I've seen these guys live three different occasions, the guitarist is Dave Mustaine he's an absolute power house he is the original guitarist of Metallica. Hangar 18, Mechanix, In my Darkest Hour and Wake up Dead are some grate ones to get you down a Megadeth rabbit hole, enjoy!
And let's face it, if Dave's voice was as strong as James Hetfield, Megadeth would be the more popular band.

Peace Sells for sure
I saw them on their Peace sells but who's buying tour in the 80's and about four times since. The best show was at a small gig in Philly in the early 90's, my ears rang for 2 days lol.
"Tornado Of Souls" off this album is guitar masterpiece and has one of the best guitar solos ever recorded.

Megadeth has a lot of good songs, Hanger 18, Tornado of Souls, anything off of Countdown to Extinction.
Megadeth is one of Metal's Big 4. Metallica, Megadeth, Anthrax, and Slayer.
If I had to rank the big 4 it would be MEGADETH,METALLICA,ANTHRAX AND SLAYER. HONORABLE MENTION IS OVERKILL.

This entire album should be on your workout playlist. Banger from start to finish.
Mr. DAVID MF'ing MUSTAINE as well as lead vocals and main song writer!
While Megadeth are called thrash metal, Dave Mustaine called his band, The Worlds State of the Art Speed Metal Band.
The Tempo of the songs never change, but the meter changes in Megadeth's music definitely puts them in the prog arena.

The musicianship on this album has never been beat….. the whole album is flawless beginning to end… Dave Mustaine (ex Metallica member) Marty Friedman is the other guitarist.

This was the wildest show I ever went to at the time. I got introduced to the diving crowd surfacing. It was in Atlanta at a place called Metroplex around 1986 or 87.
First we had to wait outside for them to open and the cops were yelling at us to go inside but we couldn't. Some "geniuses" started throwing bricks through the windshield of the police car. Then an ambulance came thru and they surrounded it and started rocking it. The police were across the street then with their batons.
We went up to the balcony and watched. This dude with a Mohawk and combat boots kept jumping and diving into the mosh pit over and over. I guess they got tired of him because the crowd split and yeah he hit the ground.
It was crazy. My first introduction to a mosh pit. I obviously will never forget it.
More Megadeth please! So so so many excellent songs to choose from.
I love watching people find the "incredible" in genres of music they are unfamiliar with. My favourite part of this reaction was your face during all the shredding guitar stuff. That's my face when I hear Rappers go hard at a million words a minute, or when a pop singer just melts my insides with a brilliant voice. In the past two years I have completely reimagined how I see everything outside my comfort zone. I never thought I'd like Kpop but its so freaking impressive as an artform and a craft, for example. Humans everywhere are talented and passionate about anything and everything. Love and respect. Be safe.

Holy Wars, Tornado of Souls, and Hangar 18.... LOVE MEGADETH!!! That's just that album... I really like the stuff after that as well. Symphony of Destruction, Sweating Bullets, Trust, She Wolf, A Tout La Mounde, etc... and so on and so on. SO MANY GOOD SONGS! Some heavier, some more accessable. Guitar beast mode in almost all of them.
This is Thrash's signature, many change/switch up's longer instrumental intros and melodic interludes with topics including religion, politics, death, war, the supernatural and mental health. Intriguing topics for sure.
I was really skeptical about introducing them to Megadeth with this song (poor Amber lol!), but that closing solo was truly face-melting! This whole album is straight fire, one of the best!
That entire album is a thrash metal masterpiece, but you really need to listen to Holy Wars.....The Punishment Due and Hangar 18.

Knowledge drop for you: Dave Mustaine (vocals, guitar, primary songwriter) was the original lead guitarist for METALLICA back when they first started. Dave got kicked out right before Metallica recorded their debut album Kill Em All. (About half of the songs on that album were written with Dave Mustaine, he told them not to use any of his songs but they did anyway) After he got back to Los Angeles he formed MEGADETH and along with Metallica, Slayer and Anthrax became part of the "Big 4 of Thrash Metal" in the 80's. This entire album is considered a thrash metal masterpiece along with Metallica's Master of Puppets album. You need to listen to "Holy Wars" and "Hangar 18" from this album. (The other guitarist is Marty Friedman here). If you want to go back a ways and hear a band that was a HUGE influence on both Megadeth and Metallica check out "Am I Evil?" by Diamond Head. Metallica did a great cover of the song also but you should listen to the original first.

Youthanasia is one of my favorite albums, particularly Addicted to Chaos and The Killing Road.
marty friedman is one of my favs alongside with alex skolnick. marty is not just a shredder, i like him for the touch he has, not the speed. his best solo is considered tornado of souls. also i recommend the family tree solo and first lucretia solo. years ago he left megadeth and went to japan, he still lives there and makes another music and he appears on TV

Y’all jumped from beginner to expert 😂 as others have said, Megadeth’s Rust in Peace is one of the all time greatest albums of the genre. If you want a more sci-fi track that has a music video, Hangar 18 is about aliens and Area 51

This is known as Thrash Metal. It really is silly how granular we've gotten with labeling genres and subgenres, but that is what it went by in the '80s. Megadeath, along with Metallica and Anthrax, pioneered this variety of Bay Area metal.
You are finally learning to like ALL types of music. Isn't it amazing what happens when people open their minds to new things and drop their preconceived notions. If we could learn to do that on more things as a society, we would be a much better society

My first introduction to Megadeth was countdown to extinction album with great song like sympathy of destruction, sweating, bullets, and countdown to extinction, and that is what started my love Megadeth. You guys should done one on these songs
Arguably one of the best metal albums of all time, every track kills. Tornado of Souls is a must reaction. And to think Dave Mustaine was kicked out of Metallica so long ago.
If there's one thing about Megadeth you immediately notice, it's that Dave Mustaine's guitar riffs are as complicated as other bands' solos.
You definitely should be looking at the lyrics. Especially with Megadeth songs. They tell a story and are as complex as the music. Cheers!
Peace Sells is a Megadeth song you really should check out. It was their first hit on MTV back in the day.
It's funny how instantaneous this track comes on. If you noticed when they started the song they had the UA-cam video already on one second. For most songs the audio doesn't play until the 2 or 3 seconds. I love song reactions but it drives me so crazy when reactors Play the song not from the exact beginning. Aaahhhh!😫

Oh yeah, Dave wrote this song based on a book he read called Master of the Five Magics from 1980. Megadeth maybe in my top 5 of all time and I listen to a ton of music, every day, and I listen to everything. Enjoying your channel. I used to smoke the ganja and listen to this album. I would get chills and sometimes just start to tear up because I realized that I was listening to some of the greatest music to touch human ears.

The lead singer of Megadeath Dave Mustaine was originally a guitarist in Metallica. I would suggest checking out the video Megadeath - Sweating Bullets. Everyone is on point.
Dave Mustane - vocals/ guitar - original lead guitarist for …. Metallica … Dave at the time struggled with addiction and Lars and James unceremoniously threw him out of the band and the house they were living in at the time … Dave went on to form Megadeth and he wrote the epic song “In My Darkest Hour” about how he felt betrayed by who he deemed his family when he needed them the most. Dave is a devout Christian and he’s very introverted. Love him to deth (see what I did there?) hahah
Listen to the band CORONER - song - voyage to eternity. It's defined as "neo classical thrash because of the high end guitar that sounds like classical music. It's amongst my favorite not very known bands.
It's termed speed metal. Dave mustaine vocalist, has a voice like an angry gremlin, it's gritty music. I muchos love it. He actually help start Metallica. This music hits the spot so perfectly.
