A headless clown carrying a jack-in-the-box-style box containing his own head (which pops out when you rotate the handle) would be a great addition to this haunted circus if you ever wanted to use that spring mechanism for a creepy future project.

First my greatest honour and respect for making the violin for your doll. This is amazing with how many fine details you make this accessories.The doll is also incredible…like the costum and the mask so much. Also I’m glad you show your try and error with the face up, makes me happy not alone with this faults.I also made this doll as a venezian carneval diorama with a gondola. I’m not sure what in her head mechanics and so I don’t cut her head to open the eye sockets. I’m going to redesign her eyes from the front, that was a long version to get her three eye versions setting to the new doll outfit. Thanks for this wonderful video. Learned so much

I think the eye mechanism is similar to the ones blythe have, and it could be fun to use it to give the doll interchangeable eye expressions 😁 I'm not ready for that challenge yet though 😂

Saving this one, I learned so much I want to refer to. I have been struggling to make a dress with puffed slashed sleeves. I love this one. I'm a violinist. Several years ago I mase a full-sized violin from foamboard and decoupaged sheet music on it. (So, I know how difficult it really is.) My Mom loved it so I gave it to her.

My first job was at a haunted house and we just finished the season, it was my first time working and i never imagined my first job being at a haunt. There was another haunt we'd team up with alot when we were short staffed and they're haunt was called Haunted Circus. I made so many great friendships and it's been a little hard for me to process everything and stay positive when saying our goodbyes but i find these kind of videos calming and fun so finding such a huge collab with so many wonderful creators make some beautifully crafted dolls based on a haunted circus is oddly comforting for me at the moment, I'm glad i managed to find this, it looks so cool and i can't wait to see what the others made! Keep up the good work❤

Holy Sh*t Emily, this is just an outstandingly magnificent doll!!! When you asked what was your favorite part? I thought "Yes!" meaning all of them. If I had to pick one, I would have a very hard time. So I rewatched the video and decided that the violin was my number one...number two would be the mask...number 3 would be her dress/shoes/tights/belt...lastly the face up. Only because the other things were so outstanding and to me the only pop of color should have been ice blue eyes or electric green ones. The eyes could have an excellent pop of color that would bring interest right to the eyes and could be done with so much more expression. Just a thought. Thank you so much for your positive feedback! 😍 I made her eyes gray on purpose, because I wanted her to look more.. lifeless?🤔 as if she has that state of depression when people's eyes start looking empty. And then she wears a mask to hide her real feelings, and only her music can tell what she actually feels.
I understand what you mean though! I used that trick on my other black and white doll (yuki onna), and it made her face really pop! That character has a passionate personality, and it made more sense to give her that piercing gaze. 😁

Re Arlequin, Pierrot and the Comedia del Arte in general, I think it’s always a good idea to educate people whilst entertaining them. It teaches non continental European kids the inception of contemporary tropes and designs so it can’t be all that bad, right?
