While I was reading one of my books i saw that quote from genesis thirty-seven saying
“
Now Jacob loved Joseph more than all his children,because he was the son of his old age.And be made him a coat of many Colors”. Now the whole chapter of that book make sense to me !

Israel is Jacob; GOD changed Jacob's name to Israel. Jacob/Israel is Joseph's father.
