When my adhd, autism, c-ptsd, addiction, anxiety, insomnia and leg pain really dysregulate me I go to 20 minutes in, and listen to Jesus. He tells me I am loved, needed, and cared for. I knock on his door, ask for peace of mind - and recieve.
Ultimately, I am not in control, God is. That's much better.
I am not alone against the world, for I have Jesus in my heart. I need nothing more.

Have just prayed for you and would also like to share my favourite verse with you. "Humble yourselves therefore under God's mighty hand that he may lift you up in due time. Cast all of your anxieties on him, because he cares for you." 1 Peter 5:6-7 I am also going through some difficult times now but today I am reminded of how amazing our Lord is. He holds us in his arms like a father with his little child and he cares for us so so deeply. He knows our needs and he is with us. God bless friend! :)

I’ve never read the Bible either and I’m 61!!! I guess it’s never too late! Fortunately I was ‘taken’ to church and Sunday school when I was you g so have always had “belief & faith” but in what?? I’m about to discover it I guess. 😎

Impressive. I've only ever read little bits and pieces of the Bible, years ago in school. This is the first time I've gone all the way through one of the Gospels. It's powerful. I'm not really a believer, but it's not at all hard to see how a story like this would capture so many hearts and minds in the ancient world.

It's more than a story, it's history. Surprisingly the bible is archeologically and historically accurate. We as believers take everything to be of truth. God bless
It's alot more then just a story. The teachings of jesus are true and the new testament teachings of jesus are by and large autobiographical and are to be taken as such.
God bless you! It's rare indeed to hear someone that claim to not believe, to also say that the bible is of great power to touch hearts. It hurts a lot for someone that honestly and truly believe in Jesus, to be told by so many that faith is so horrible and that Christianity is only bad and Christians even worse, when it is something we believe to be a purely good thing, able to conquer even death. Since according to scripture only by loving others do we ever fully follow the will of God. That means you are close to God.
May I ask whether you have become a believer during the year from which you commented? 💖
Chapter 23!!! wow! I have listened to/ read this scripture many times, but never before has it brought to my heart and mind quite how damning were Jesus' words to the Pharisees.
I knew the truth of it, but the vehemence with which He must have said those words had escaped me.
Oh Lord Jesus Christ Almighty, please give me the discernment, wisdom & courage to be as You in my own speech when the time calls for it.

I have often read the scriptures but the audio book and your voice really bring it to life. Ive been dealing with shortness of breath. Ive been listening to this guy reading to me the bible for a couple hours while I painted on rocks and the shortness of breath slowly started to leave.
It's weird because I've been suffering with the same thing and decided to turn to the Bible.
I can tell you both, the Lord Jesus Christ, helps every aspect of life. Listen keenly to his sermon on the mount,
do not worry, Trust in him. He will reveal himself more and more. Walk in his way. I'll say a prayer for you both, and be Shure to thank him when you feel you should.
Walking ever closer let's his peace come to you and you Become a vessel of his living water, to help others and give his good news. So much more he can give healing is one of the easier things. He knows what you truly need. And he is willing to give.

This is amazing. I have chruch classes and i am required to read the whole new testament 🎉 and the series is PERFECT for it because when i read the bible physically i get so distracted cause my brother waches tv. But now its so much more fun and interesting

So I'm a jew, listening to this out of curiosity, and my family has been Jewish since the dawn of the Jewish people, and now I've discovered that my grandfather's famous saying - "if thy eye bothers thee, pluck it out and toss it from thee" - is a paraphrasing of Jesus's words! 😂

The first NIV was based on older but newly discovered texts which were considered more reliable as they were older. The missing verses from King James are put in as footnotes for those who want them
