Slash is still one of the greatest players of all time. I don't get me wrong they are a few of them but the work has done with the les Paul is Amazing. He is literally why I have a les Paul now and other guitars. Being able to play takes you to a new place. I can tell you what's going through his head and it is only that guitar neck and frets.

Thanks DD. These are my 10 criteria that i use to rate good players. Speed and technique are also obvious factors but all pro guitarists have those in some degree. Slash , Page & Hetfield are the only 3 i can think of who have all 10.

The tone of his guitar especially his gold top on the use your illusions tour is way better than it is nowadays I think. Back then the tone was rich, full of sustain and had almost a violin sound to it as can be heard in the godfather solo Tokyo '92. Heavenly.

You're right. Slash is just another ego. No more no less. But it has nothing to do with music. Just with ego.
Nobody, could write, record and play them like Page or Waters or Lennon and that is what makes a master of masters.
You need to go take a look at stevie vai and Yngwie Malmsteen, slash is good but will never be on that level
