France-first is the favored strat in my circle! Totally underrated by most of the community, which is unfortunate. (We play OOB, too.) So glad you covered this!
Wow! I can’t believe you: A) Responded to my comment so fast B) Returned to UA-cam after about a year And C) Actually made a video out of my suggestion!!! So happy to see a new video from you in general but the fact that I requested it makes it all the better! Thank you so much and have a good day :)
Great job mate, would love to see an updated version of the tournament rules version. I will look for my notes and see if I can get them to you as 2 minds are better than one.
Did you hear the news that Renegade game studios is partnering with hasbros and is reprinting 1914? I have the original but I'm excited that this game is coming back after so long.
I think it is worth mentioning for this strategy to be most effective we'd want a Germany turn 1 attack on the royal navy. Often, the German player can destroy all or most British transports and many surface combatants. This will require a large naval investment by GB to build back their transports and perhaps a cruiser to protect them, which will mean a meaningful land force cannot reinforce France before T3. This would severely degrade the coalition defense of northern France, require most of the French Army to focus defending picardy, and consign Italy to near certain death as France would be unable to deploy troops for a common defense in venice/peidmont.
@@JonathanMeyer84 Yeah I had a game as the Allies in which the Germans didn't hit me T1, I immediately could consolidate my fleet and was landing 6 infantry a turn, pure defense, into Picardy, so that The French could send large stacks into Northern Italy (CP doing Italy first), and just shut down their early couple of turns. Russia got out of control as a result and it was a pretty simple victory.
Sure, when the NoLimit Starts to go full blast on doing UA-cam Wars practically every week Then you decide to take a sabbatical from the Game- Recently I been working on House rules on the '14 version with Sgt Shultzie over the UA-cam, we don't use tourney rules concerning extra movements and we're pretty close to balancing the game between the two sides but it's still needs a few more games played to be truly tested though!!!
If you decide to start uploading again, have you ever considered doing videos on the other games in the original gamemaster series (Conquest of the Empire, Fortress America, Shogun)?

Would you be willing to share what opening troop movements are common when you and your friends go after Feance first? I'm curious!

I did hear that. Excellent news!
Are you still around mate, there is a lot of momentum in the AAA world atm and I would love to be able to make contact with you on a better forum.

Indeed. Good point. I was thinking that in my mind, but didn't bother to set up England and didn't comment on it on the video.

That's not a bad idea. I don't own any of those games right now, but if I ever get my hands on any of them I will seriously consider it.
I don’t understand why you don’t just set up the other countries… lol but great videos anyways
