I peaked diamond because of my movement and aim but i realized that I’m still pretty bad at the game because I need to learn how to use my utils more properly. I think higher elos expect you to be quite good at util usage and great gamesense but this guide is still great if ur trying to get out of gold or plat.

One says to "stay still and flick, don't worsen your aim by moving" the other is "aim while moving to stay a difficult to hit target", I will end up creating my own Frankenstein monster of a playstyle. Maybe I'll move and flick without aiming.

If you are playing in lower ranks probably straight wide swinging may work really well, but in higher ranks its better to jiggle first to bait enemy's crosshair closer to the wall, and then wide swing, breaking their crosshair placement.

@@hellshaked6530 there is a difference between the league they are in and the tournament they play. The leagues are based around the final tournament which is where their name derives from. That’s why he said ascension league not ascension team

He is just jiggle peaking the angle (taping one bullet and replace cover instantly) which makes him a hard target -In any case (even if he moves a bit backwards) he is closer to the wall than the enemy so he will never have angle advantage from there so he jiggle it
There's also a pretty important factor in that, you are having angle disadvantage no matter the side you choose, either front wall or back wall (in those 2 examples) You'll be better off hugging the front wall when peeking in those scenarios since you will get to cover faster than being in the back wall Woohoojin made a great example with that when peeking from B Hookah defender side in bind.
Okay, I am a low-elo player so ignore ny tip if it's wrong or harmful, but I just keep strafing and try to hit them; either my bullets will run out first or theirs, and when their bullets run out, they'll panic. As for me, I've gone up against Vandals with Classic, so that prospect doesn't frighten me
@@thatsaweirdone im in low elo as well but my opp kill me after 2 strafes, if i miss. But ur tip is very helpful as well.. only if i could micro adjsut faster to their heads while strafing.
u need to make sure u are standing behind cover, if you’re in the open strafing that’s still a 50/50 battle.. but if you have cover and your enemy doesn’t the odds shift slightly in your favor
Also, you don’t need to take every gun fight, sometimes just getting the info of where an opponent is should be good enough. If you feel like you can’t win the gunfight just relocate and use the info you gained to your advantage
Try to work on aiming at moving targets. Dynamic clicking scenarios in aim trainers are good for that. Or you can turn on strafing for the bots in the range. :)
@@theguide_val specifically on angle advantage, it seems harmful to simplify the topic down here into the few sections, as opposed to explaining when to slice the pie versus when to pre aim or even prefire based on distance, and proper technique on how to do so and how to pewctise in a longer video?
Only thing i disagree with is certain angles where you know you are peaking an enemys positions and not to over expose yourself, you peak with w and s, example top heaven on haven peaking someone between entrance of hell and mid cite box, when you know they're caught out here, A long is smoked off and you don't want to be seen very well by the short player you can use w and s off to the right side. Other weird neish places can exist too.
Its the same thing as peaking with a and D your moving completely in 1 direction moving faster, so the person below you wont good a good chance and you don't over expose.@@dugieboyk9126
That example there give 0 advantage over A D and put you in an easy spot to wall bang. Maybe work under silver cuz people have eyes problem and actually stop shooting the wall if they cant see you for some reason. But above that if they just keep shooting. the chance of lucky headshot wall bang go thru the fking roof LOL. Even the chip dmg is enough to tell this is worse than just A D like a normal person

if it works it works go for it, but if ur dying a lot more than your killing then yeah id try strafing/jiggle peeking a corner

Counter strafing has no reasonable effect in valorant, which is why it is unnessecary to consider.
1. Counter strafing isn't a thing in val 2. You shouldn't peek with W in the first place, val is slow enough as it is
