most pro players dont gaf about their youtubes at all , i understand that descision but seeing someone actually make a youtube video instead of having an editor churn out another highlight video from streams is so refreshing , great video !
Great vid Zander, can't believe I got name dropped on a masterpiece like this. A bit of lore, you were the first player that I saw that was doing crouch peeks to open up duels. I remember dying to you in ranked and was mind blown, then came across it again watching your vods. Specifically it was a vod over 6 months ago now where you contacted A main on Ascent after the 1 way faded(you were defense). And ended up killing 2. I'm not sure who created this technique but you opened my eyes to it. So thank you. I was able to find the vod for anyone curious(I timestamped it) ua-cam.com/video/xBRzT682n24/v-deo.htmlsi=TGkhwyLnwuUttY1P&t=717
Saw Dopai's video a couple months back and was surprised by how little people were talking about or even knew about the Primmie movement. Awesome to see a great mind elaborating on it and giving credit where it's due. Great video Zander!
wait im about to hit radiant this act because of this guide, changed my perspective and approach to so many things, thank you so much zander i have learned.
Yo what up Kevin, thanks for lending me your Bugatti yesterday. My date thought I was rich, and the flowers you left in the front seat were a nice touch.
The head hitbox extends a lot farther down into the neck than most people realize. Aiming neck level is really good especially against people who tap crouch. It also helps at farther ranges.
One tip I have for crouching like Primmie is to actually have an alternate bind than your regular crouch key. I play with my movement fingers on WASD, which made me realize that I can use my space bar as the alternate crouch key. It has not only freed up all of my other fingers for my regular movement, but I personally have really well control over my thumb over my other fingers. I'm consistently able to slightly crouch without even a glimpse of a thought to spray considering it's a different finger on a different key. I hope this can help anyone who's wanting to add crouching into their fights more :)
Wait I lwk might try this, I also had this issue where my pinky would feel uncomfortable tapping the ctrl key without going too deep. Thabks for the info!
Zander you are my goat. Ive watched you play pro and have learned controller watching you play. These tips are really helpful and I would appreciate if you make more videos that goes over being at advantage like having a better positioning that benefits to win a gunfight or rounds.
Hi Zander! Thank you for this video, it explained alot! Please keep these videos going as they are very helpful. For the next video could you please include agent specific tutorials? Like a tutorial on Omen or breach or fade?
1:59 Counter-strafing doesn't technically work in Valorant. If you count frames, there is little-to-no discernible difference between natural deceleration and perfect counter-strafes. Most players who do counter-strafe moved to Val from CS where there was an advantage to be gained due to the significantly slower movement deceleration but this advantage is not present in Val. That being said, there is no downside to it so you don't have to worry about being at a disadvantage because of that particular habit from CS. Additionally, the mechanic of shooting when you switch directions as you covered is generally referred to as dead-zoning and is absolutely a mechanic that all players should learn. The two mechanics are indeed similar but I feel that the nuance between them and their use cases warrants this clarification.
@Johnny91832 Can you like elaborate briefly on it if you don't mind please? I also am noticing a lot of inaccurate shots lately ever since I stopped counter strafing and stopping my movement key to shoot.
Hello, First time in found your video. This is by far the best movement guide I've ever seen. Thanks! Iam playing valo for 4 weeks now and I am so bad😂 this helps a lot
personally, I sometimes bind left click to crouch, usually for Phantom and what it does is that whenever you shoot you automatially crouch, as a side effect if you tap fire with it you end up with something similar to a primmie peek
Great vid! To add, make sure to set your keyboard delays to the fastest delay on your control panel. Some keyboards have an automatic delay which makes their a-d strafing inaccurate. I was hardstuck dia until I found this out and turned asc.
I know you made this guide to have wider reach for beginner players and its pretty comprehensive for that. Please drop an advanced guide, particularly including scaling and more situational stuff. I think its the biggest gap a lot of players in the intermediate ranks face compared to radiant and top players movement wise
i think verno picked up primmie's movement mechanics very well so he's prob another good example of this "crouching while counterstrafing" movement style
wym by aim guide? There's really 3 or 4 skills in aiming - Crosshair placement: this is map knowledge (what angles exist, what elevations) + remembering the concept that you should be aiming for the head. - Spray patterns: grab a gun in the range and shoot at a wall lmao - Peaking: Lightly covered in this video, covered in detail in others. The only other element is movement which is the whole point of this video
what freaks me out is one youtuber says counter strafe is important while other says its not because u almost instantly stop if you let go of the key... so right now im so confused if i should do this or not. Because i saw another video where you call this jiggle peek and not actually counter strafe
For the crouching part it's natural for me as someone coming from fortite. In fortnite it's common to spam crouch while spraying an assault rifle. It's cool and you dodge bullets

There are also plenty of pros who do a lot of commentary and analysis too
@@jakelee7083 i only know of boaster tho he does analysis , i am only talking about t1 for english speaking players
Why is your chrosshair placement so steady like it’s following a line lmao mine is beyond that

Very nice video Zander, i watch this type of content a lot and you still gave me some unique insights and tips i never heard before.

I crouch on spacebar as default :)
As someone who jumps on spacebar, i have it binded on alt instead. But i guess that means i cannot crouch jump...
I have crouch on my mouse button lmao

I think my mom would like this video, thanks Zander
Incredible video - really clear, with precise examples, looking forward to implement it in getting to silver! cheers!
It's funny cause Donk in CS does the exact same thing primmie does when it comes to crouching and that's what makes him so formidable too
