My thoughts on Rainbows and Twsbi Ecos

Thank you so much for tuning in for another rambling video 😂
I had a thought this week after watching some other channels and how they use their Twsbi Ecos. Over the years I have had a lot of coloured Eco’s and then at the beginning of this year decided I was only going to keep the Rose Gold or Bronze editions and went ahead and sold my other Eco’s. Well I regret that decision ow because I just kept telling myself that I didn’t need all of them rather than focusing on how and why I use them.

I really love that Melbourne Rose, gorgeous colour. Great idea about an Eco Rainbow and having your fave inks in pens all the time.
@@afountainpenawakening hi Katie, Melbourne Rose is a pretty colour, very much the dusky rose colour, but has more pink in it than Hara Hara. Take care lovely and have a wonderful weekend 😊

@@Tina.Journals hi Tina, thank you for letting me know about the lighting. The general consensus seems to be that it worked well. I kept thinking I didn’t need anymore and kept telling myself that. But given that I like to write with a spectrum of colour 🌈😂 it makes sense to me to have a more inexpensive pen dedicated for certain inks. With regard to my other pens I will rotate the inks that I put in them. At least these are my thoughts for now 😂 I hope you have a wonderful weekend my friend 😊

Jayne, have a color wheel with you so you can look at complimentary & contrasting colorways, so you can reduce the number of colored ECOs, while pairing all your inks.
@@mellow-jello hello there 😊 I’m not so worried about how many Eco’s I have. I know I won’t be having them all that’s for sure! I do have a wish list of the ones I would like for my favourite inks though and not in any hurry. I just recently shared all my TWSBI‘s on Insta… 68 in total and all inked up. Like you said, it‘s just great to have a pen with a matching ink that you love always at hand. And they don‘t dry up. I write with fountain pens almost exclusively and to me it‘s just a logical thing to do… also to use my inks. 😊

Lighting looks great! That is a really good idea for the TWSBI's. I may try it!
Having the rainbow of colour is certainly allowing me to experiment with different samples and seasonal colours in my other pens. I thoroughly think it’s worth a try if you like variety 😊
I’ve found that my TWISBIs do keep writing for months also. I just get bored with the basic design if I keep them inked for too long and end up wanting to write with a different pen. Inking some of your other beautiful pens along with your TWSBIs seems like a good way to go.

Thanks Jayne for another fun video! The new lighting set up looks great! I’ve had my eye on the saffron and cream color TWSBI’s. I may have to add those soon. Totally get what you mean, my husband just writes with black ink but I need all of the colors!

you’re gonna laugh when I tell you that I’m changing my twsbi eco system right now.. I’m writing them ALL dry for a fresh start, because I have more matching shimmer colors and felt like a fresh start! Also switching boxes around, so I’ll have the Ecos (20 right now, but I know I’ll cave when they come out with a hot pink Barbie color!) in the larger box and the other inked ones in the former eco box… but first there’s pens to be written dry! you need 9 TWSBIs. 1 of each primary Color, with the corresponding ink. Red Orange Yellow Green Blue Purple (Lilac) Black Brown and Cyan. Nothing else will allow full expression. :):):)

Jsyne, thank you for the video. The lighting was just right. An interesting plan for the TWSBIs. Does this mean that you will have less opportunity to use your other pens? Probably not, because you certainly write a lot of pens dry.

I’m not going to get every single Twsbi on the market, but it just kind of makes sense to me to have a more inexpensive pen dedicated for my favourite inks. Very interesting video on your pen and ink journey! I hope you’re not beating yourself up on changing your mind! I think it’s just fun to collect and then fall in love with the ink and pen combos! I love my pen collection and I don’t have a huge one compared to many. But seeing the ink in the TWSBI barrel is just so fun! I love my Kaweco’s, my Lamy’s, Esterbrook, Pilot Prera, and Sailor too. But the other brands don’t alway have ink in them. For me I love my brass Kaweco which I use with a warm brown ink, my Prera with Cursive Medium nib and Graf Von Faber-Castel Deep Sea. I have had a TWSBI ink with J. Herbin Emerald of Chivor since Christmas and used it sparingly and it so amazingly how it performs! I also love the TWSBI mini and I’m enjoying using the Sailor’s multi-shading ink Kyokkou that has an ethereal purple and grey color. They Robert Oster ink from the Melbourne pen show in the rose color is so devine! How lucky for you!🤩🥳

I was thinking as well to buy as many fountain pens but I know I will not use them. That is sad. So I know I normally use 3 colors at most in my journal. Too many colors become a distraction on my eyes. I will do my best to love my only 3 TWSbI. 😂

OMG this was three weeks ago! I just saw a notification right now on your mention to me.. THANK YOU SO MUCH😍😍😍 TWSBIs are one of my favorites. And yes, all of my TWSBIs and other pens are always inked😅 Love it that way! I got more incoming I'm so excited. And yes I am pretty new to fountain pens, I started in September 2023. 😅😅😅 Aren't the TWSBI Ecos just so much fun to look at 😍😍😍
