I have seen a lot of different seed and nursery catalogs as a 72 year old avid gardener. I would rank Johnny’s as #1, Burpees’s #2, Jung’s #3, Harris-Moran #4, Baker Creek if your into the Heirlooms #5, Park Seed Company #6, Seed and Such #7, Gurney,s #8, Thompson & Morgan #9 and Seed Saver’s Exchange. One that I don’t believe is around anymore is Henry Field that I use to really enjoy looking at because of their pictures of customers with this prized fruits, vegetables and flowers.

I already harvested spindly cilantro for my street tacos last week. All I know is, if my diff sized tomatoes don't grow, I'll use my pots/drainage dishes for cilantro and other herbs. I might try sowing sprouts in the potting soil mix as opposed to sprouting trays sans soil.
Totally T forgot to enclose the catalog with my order. I called them this past Friday and the lady said they will mail one out to me. I mentioned, I buy seeds online and then I request a catalog. I am not a catalog collector. She knew what I was all about. I started getting into indoor gardening last year w/o collecting catalogs sic. I bought Ferry-Morse at Target and local grocery store. I planted cilantro using Miracle Gro potting mix. I didn't do too bad. Yeah, I hope I get that catalog. Thank you for your nice presentation.
@@SuccessfulGardens1 So much sensory overload in those catalogs. Mid-May if temps cooperate, I'll start sowing my tomato seeds into round terra cotta's. I have packets of cherry and beefs. Right now I have cilantro and basil growing indoors. I take them out when it is warm and bring them in at night.
There are several places that offer bareroot. You just have to be careful. Read the reviews. My words are, buyer beware. What kinds are you looking for specificly for?
Could you please explain why seed companies print catalogs !!!!???? Seems like that's a unnecessary expense !!!! Why wouldn't they just do it on line !!!!????
I can't give you the "numbers", however, I understand that printed catalogs have been significantly dropping. Many companies are going digital. There are still many buyers that still want the paper catalog. So printed catalogs are being reduced.

That is the same seed co. I order from every year. Seeds N Such. Gurneys must think everybody is a millionaire. Pintree is good, the rest is out of wack in prices

Ooh great information thank you!! I bought the whole seed catalogue from Baker Creek this year and it helped plan my garden for sure.
Some great information in that catalog. Great resource.
My go to seed companies are Harris and Johnny’s….I grow a lot of flowers…I will check out some of the ones you like…
